I’m not going to write a lot (LOL) since there are those who already did much better reviews (and pretty much similar to my opinion), but well, just thought I’d post the poster and rant a bit before I start drooling over Minorin’s Live DVD. On to the track list..

01. TRUST (Kuribayashi Minami)
Couldn’t think of any better song that suits Minami more than TRUST. One of my favorite in this album.

02. Rinbu Revolution (Chihara Minori)
Call me trolling, but I’ve hated this song since I first heard it in Minorin’s radio last week. It’s so bland I couldn’t believe this is my favorite Makkun song. I guess it’s the weird arrangement or my expectation was too high, but I wouldn’t replace Shimokawa Mikuni’s cover in my Ipod for this.

03. Jounetsu (Misato Aki)
I feel alive again hearing this right after Minorin’s Rinbu Revolution. Loved the original, and while Misato took the song differently, I like her version too.

04. INTRODUCTION (Endoh Masaaki)
All hail the rocker, I want zero-G- from him!

05. Olive (Ishida Yoko)
I have to agree that this song sounds very weak. Maybe I should stop comparing, but it’s really a pity since I actually like Ishida’s sweet voice. She should have done something like, er, My Jolly Days?

06. Iiwake (Suara)
Hands down to the best track of this album. I was tempted to download the flac yesterday for this song, but my patience paid off the minute I heard Suara’s pure voice. m(_ _)m

07. Otomegokoro Mugen (Ohmi Tomoe)
It wasn’t bad, but nothing outstanding too.. a bit unlucky heh, positioned between heavenly Iiwake and awesome Koishimasho Nebarimasho.

08. Koishimasho Nebarimasho (Momoi Halko)
Momoi is always awesome in doing cover songs. Her version of Yuzurenai Negai is the best I’ve heard, and Hirano Aya should be ashamed if she ever listened to Momoi’s rendition of God Knows. Following her trend, this track was really good, I even forgot this was a Makkun song. #2 best track after Iiwake.

09. Wasuregusa (Kageyama Hironobu)
A sentimental song that easily became one of my favorite in Masami Life, and while I think Kageyama is a fine singer, I didn’t really like his version of Wasuregusa.. maybe because I’m a bit attached to this song (i.e. looping it too many times) so I can only accept Makkun’s voice.. oh well.

10. HAPPY PLACE (Yonekura Chihiro)
She sounds like Makkun the most from everyone in this album, in a good way, too. And oh, in the end I didn’t buy Ever After, it got too many of her own songs for a cover album.

…and that was quite a lot of ramblings. ^^; Anyway, I wish there were more tracks in this CD.. 3150yen for 10 songs is a bit pricey –heck it was worthy– but extra songs from Mizuki Nana, Hayashibara Megumi, or Shimokawa Mikuni won’t hurt.

Absolutely the best news since… I forgot, too many bad things happened to me in the past week: I got mizuki-nana.net but I couldn’t make anything yet due to nonstop labor work (even today), I even forgot to order first-press-now-sold-out Slayers Megumix, then my hard disk died (along with all my pr0n image collection and Mizuki Nana photos I’ve gathered forever), and lazy Aussie Post Office holding on my Minorin DVD and Makkun tribute album. -_-;

I still feel the pain of scanning all my crap once again, but Rondo Robe really made my day for announcing second OVA of IchiMashi. Yay! Nobue is my favorite character ever, for her love of cigarette and underage girls. And while I actually got into seiyuu thanks to Marimite, it was Ichimashi that got me into stalking them. Chiba Saeko and Orikasa Fumiko are yummy~

- Takahashi Naozumi (3 Animelo)

I must admit he can sing really well live. I just had to avert my eyes from my monitor for a while. Not that he’s bad-looking, but I prefer pretty girls to pretty boys. *cough* But really, it’s weird he’s not listed, with all his anisongs and the fact he was there for all Animelo.. :-/

- Oumi Tomoe (2 Animelo)

Surprised she’s not listed too, albeit being under Makkun’s evolution label. But IIRC she hasn’t released anything after last year’s Animelo. Maybe that’s why.

- Jyukai (1 Animelo)

Manami has a pure voice and Dewa composes great music. Hanamuke no Melody (Aa! Megami-sama ED3) is a great song I’d love to hear live.

- Shimokawa Mikuni (1 Animelo)

Bird. Sore ga Ai Desho. all the way. It’s really a pity she only participated in 2005. Someone please bring her back.

The zero Animelo a.k.a my dreams:
- Hayashibara Megumi: Kujikenaikara is ’nuff reason for me. But hey, it’d be good marketing for her comeback, with Slayers Revolution on the way.. *cross fingers*
- Sakamoto Maaya
- Shintani Ryoko: for the sake of completing the “idol seiyuu” line-up, and IMO she’s better than Nonaka Ai or Sakakibara Yui.. Makino Yui is okay, but her (Aria) songs will put people to sleep, they’re just not for live, thanks.
- Chiba Saeko + Nanri Yuuka: LOL @ totally-impossible.

Before anyone complaining why the layout is so ugly, this is only a dummy version I made (thanks ron~ for free bandwidth), while waiting for the actual domain name which is coming next week. So I swear it won’t look this rubbish later.

And before complaints on the n00b Nana banner; I was sick of looking at the default banner, especially after refreshing it countless times. So I thought, having Nana cheering on me would be good.

Anyway, I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up a Nana fansite since God knows when, but I was lazy and end up rewatching Nana stuffs afraid I’d screw it up and chose to fix her wiki instead. However, after reading j1m0ne’s post, somehow I got an urge to really do it. I mean, being a compsci student and a so-called fan(atic), I am obliged to make a decent fansite. And now that I’m a NEET not working anymore, I should dedicate more time to worship Nana seriously.

My purpose on this horrid beta version is to learn how to use Joomla. I decided to use CMS since I’m planning to link each song to its CD/DVD, give lyrics for all of them, and review whatever I have (hopefully I won’t give up soon ^^; ). And I’ve learned PHP and MySQL before, so I thought Joomla would be a piece of cake… but it wasn’t the case. The control panel was quite confusing, at some point I thought it could be faster if I develop my own codes. >_>

After Mizuki Nana’s Live Formula, it’s Horie Yui’s turn to take the crown. Excellent. I feel happy for owning chart-toppers.

Pretty nice cover. Er, her expression maybe.. a bit weird, but as a Nana lunatic I’m happy with whatever. And I just realized she updated her official site photos too. Better job than the cover, if you ask me.

I’m seriously wishing for nicer packaging.. I mean, those standard boxes look like Chinese bootlegs. Especially the pink one. Ugh.

I’ve read about Horie Yui’s previous concert that followed her adventure in an Alice in Wonderland-like world, but I never thought a story-based live can be so interesting and fun. I like it in the way she’s still showing off her seiyuu skills. And I have to say Hocchan is really good at looking cute. She IS 17.

Um, the only drawback I noticed was the fans’ calls. They were way too loud. Not as bad as Yukarin’s, but it still annoyed the hell outta me.
