Screw the CD. Give me Nana Clips 5 now!! >_<

OK, I admit Trickster PV is kinda cool, but DISCOTHEQUE is on a different level. And since I’m the kind of pervert person who prefers Aoi Iro to, say, Secret Ambition.. obviously this chu-ru-chu-ru-ba discolady thing won hands down.

I just saw it on Yahoo! Auction, and had no idea what it was until I googled it.. apparently it’s a seiyuu interactive DVD game created in 2001, starring 3 seiyuu Tanaka Rie (with weird hair but very pretty), Shishido Rumi (is she still alive?), Toyoguchi Megumi, and many other seiyuu, adding up to 50 names! Including Mizuki Nana (!!), Kawakami Tomoko, Orikasa Ai, Ikezawa Haruna, Iizuka Mayumi, Kimura Madoka, and a fair share of male seiyuu like Shinichiro Miki, Chiba Shigeru, etc (not interested :P).

The gameplay should be like normal interactive DVD, choosing options to get different endings…

…hang on, where did I see something (extremely) ridiculous featuring about the same seiyuu line-up?

So THAT stupid PV was from this game? O_o; Amazon still has a new copy for 5,775 yen so can someone please buy one for me? T_T

Edit: After watching the PV again (and again), it strucked me that those seiyuu must really not get paid well enough (especially in 2001) that they wanted to do something out of their talent as stupid as interactive DVD game. ^^; Poor them.

The two new releases came on the day it was released, but I was too busy to pick it up until today.

Scans and rants after the jump.

I wish it’s the real PV, or at least has better quality than this.. but even in obvious bad pixels she still looks pretty damn cute. :P

So, DISCOTHEQUE PV has.. discotheque theme. Somehow it looks like a cheap 90s one.. I wonder if the polkadot dancers are Mika or Megu there~ too bad they don’t show the faces. Can’t wait for the real PV.. (too bad she doesn’t include it in her single). Can’t wait for the live version too! This song won’t dethrone Freestyle or Aoi Iro from my cutesy-Nana-song-list, but being better than COSMIC LOVE is already a plus.

Argh, I really want to watch Chelsea Girl properly or scan my Nana books but uni workloads won’t let me. I guess this is what I get for skipping weeks of uni.. >_>

..I almost shit my pants when I plugged the so-called 100v PS3 directly to Australian 220v power supply.. but as you can see, it just works perfectly!
..the DVD upscaler works wonders~ :3

The misleading sticker on the box.. if you’re reading this, Sony, it’s not enough to stop importers. xD

All you need is a universal (or Jp/Au) socket adapter.

So I proudly present…..

“the thing to play Live Fighter bluray next year” xD

..yap, that was the only reason I got it.

Better late than never? ^^;

I managed to get a seat for this overnight event in Zepp Tokyo.. started exactly 30 min after midnight (August 16, 24:30), and ended after 6 am. The event was very laid-back compared to Animelo, everyone was sitting almost all the time and only a few (including me) who brought penlights.. it was still lively though, with lots of clapping and calls. It might have been more energetic if it wasn’t during Comiket. :-/

There were more talking and jokes than songs, but it was really enjoyable, I didn’t spot anyone sleeping or even look tired (Endoh actually made a joke about this and called us crazy).

There were also guessing games of who the next performer is with stupid hints. There was a guy who kept shouting “FUKUYAMA!” regardless who came out on stage.. xD

Anyway, here’s the show’s highlights..

DMC

..three crazy oyajis! LOL.

- Event hosts Kageyama, Endoh, and Kitadani from JAM Project opened up the event with 4 historical songs! xD

- Minami’s Mai-Otome uniform has legs! Too bad I couldn’t find any “good pics” for that. :P
And ETERNITY was awesome.. she’s more suited for ballads like this.

- Misato Aki’s Natsune Remon was the cutest..

- ..and Oumi Tomoe’s Ryuugu Rena too! She failed to do the rap for Engine First Lap and just went “lalala~”.. cute! >_<

- Okui Masami must be the only woman in her 40s that can pull off an awesome Ayanami Rei plugsuit cosplay.. AND a bunny maid one later on.
Oh well, I almost cried when I got to hear my fave track from Masami Kobushi live!!

- JAM Project singing the Ponyo Ponyo song in fluffy animal costumes? EPIC WIN. ..sorry I couldn’t find any photo T_T

- Hata Aki looked huge. Wait, “doctor” Ogata Megumi was way bigger. xD Ogata sang brilliantly though.. hands down to best singer of the night. I forgot I used to love her husky voice.. (Tenou Haruka anyone? <3) ..too bad she was also the #$!#@Shinji.

- IMAJO once more cosplayed as a girl.. this time it’s a “pretty girl”. He failed to sit like one, though.
- Fukuyama was the Maid Guy!! LOLOLOL ..maybe that’s why no blog post pics from him this year?
- Acoustic JAM Project saikou! Poor Makkun had to fill in Rika’s parts.. especially for Little Wings ^^;

More pics and Set List after the jump.

Goods

In Saturday, I arrived in Saitama about 11 am, thinking that was early enough to get all the goods.. but apparently thousands of people were already there. For God’s sake they just opened the booth at 10.30. -_-;;

..and after 1.5 hours of lining up with smelly people, it was finally my turn.. but the Animelo bag set and the wristband was sold out. Tempted to buy Minorin’s fan-light but didn’t. BTW I still have no idea why they didn’t sell S-sized shirts.. M is still VERY big.

Don’t even think about buying goods after the event though.. only shirts and pamphlet left.

Here’s things I managed to get.. I wouldn’t have survived without the towel..
I got encore things too.. both days’ ribbons and the white heart too~~!! <3 <3 Had to fight for that :P

Animelo 2008 Challenge Set List

Even the board looks awesome, isn’t it? xD

Hit the jump for set list and their tie-ins..

Finally home. It was hard to go online since I stayed in a small but nice (and really cheap) ryokan.. anyway.

I started out late in Day-2, arriving at about 3pm, since I’ve got the goods and to be honest my whole body hurt. I didn’t think I could jump anymore, at least not as crazy as Day-1.. but well, I was wrong. :P

- JAM Project opened the concert, I was ready to scream my all for Makkun but.. that wasn’t her on stage, it was Misato Aki.
Turned out Makkun got sick and couldn’t join the 2nd day. There’s a long post in her blog apologizing and explaining her condition.. it was unbelievable she could perform very well the day before.. get well soon, Makkun! :)

- I love Misato Aki. But someone else loves her more, he shouted “daisuki da yo!!” really loud that quite a bunch applauded him.
- ELISA sang really well, but just like Suara, she didn’t “perform” much on stage.
- DLB was really funny.. too bad no Asu e no Brilliant Road.

- Hocchan is the epitome of cuteness. CUTE. CUTE. CUTE.

- Momoi Halko performs awesomely.. but what’s more awesome than her? My fave performance of the day: UNDER17 (yes, megane-momoi!) duet with MOSAIC.WAV!! Any moe-pop lovers should go crazy for that! xD
- Lots of high-pitched moe voices, esp Sakura Saori, miko..

- IM@S sang medley of the favorite songs! <3<3<3
Chiaking didn’t use Azusa’s voice though.. but damn she’s hot.

- Aya was way better than Gekisou or last year’s Animelo. I actually enjoyed Love Gun live. And I saw her pantsu so many times..

- May’n was Sheryl Nome that night. She’s not as chubby as what Yells PV shown us, nice legs.
- PSYCHIC LOVER should do more ballad.

- Uninstall.. Uninstall.. was holy.
- Chihi sang nicely, but I wished she would rock the stage instead.

- Now the big guys.. JAM Project really did rocked the super arena. I literally felt the heat.. with everyone flying for SKILL, it was like a sauna. Loved “OKUI” tattoo in Kageyama’s arms. No Border was weird without her, tho..

- This time I sat in left-side of the platform.. close enough to get Hocchan (!!), atsuko/KATSU, Aa, Mingosu smiled and waved back to me. JAM Project guys & Yoffy too. But the winner was Chiaking and her flying kisses.. *dies* Too bad I missed Momoi and Misato Aki. T_T

I’ve translated most of Animelo set-list.. will get it done tomorrow. And maybe some pics..
