Animelo 2008 Song Prediction? LOL.
I wrote about this before on otadesho, but the said post was only intended as news so I didn’t write more than I was supposed to, while I gotta take things out of my system before t3h inner fangirl exploded (it did, several times, actually).

Twice bigger than the previous venue Nippon Budokan. I hope they will nicely set the stage to please the fans (like that of Mizuki Nana’s concerts), rather than trying to fit everyone.

My songs prediction are based on:
1. What they had released between previous Animelo and this year’s. Note that this means first-timers could sing anything. And I don’t count guest appearances, so Minorin’s twice and Aaya’s a first-timer.
2. What they have performed in Animelo before –I’m excluding those.
3. And of course, what I want them to sing~

Day-1
ALI PROJECT (3rd time)
After the mind-blowing Seishoujo Ryouiki è–å°‘å¥³é ˜åŸŸ duet in 2007, Arika promised she will do a duet again WITH a Nana song next time. Well, this year is “next time”~ xD
Possible songs:

GRANRODEO (1st time)
Kishow looks cool, but I don’t fancy their music that much (or at all). Oh well, at least they’re not Takahashi Naozumi.

Kuribayashi Minami æ —æž—ã¿ãªå®Ÿ (4th time)
I love most of Kurinoco’s works, esp. those from her earlier days, but her upbeat songs aren’t bad too. And as she always wins the provocative dress award, looking forward to whatever she’ll wear~ xD

- Love Jump (kure-nai OP)
- sakuradokei 桜時計 pls? but it’s only a c/w, so maybe not.. 
Chihara Minori 茅原実里 (2nd time)
Now, now, our lovely Minorin’s back~ will she do a duet this time? Maybe with Kurinoco? Can’t think of any song they can sing together, lol.

- melty tale storage (…which I don’t really like)

Mizuki Nana 水樹奈々 (4th time)
Nana-chan has always been the highlight of Animelo (look at those long opening before she performed), and as I’m totally her fangirl, I’m praying she’ll sing at least 3 songs and 2 duets.
Possible songs:
- Rosario+Vampire: dancing in the velvet moon (ED)!! And I’d prefer Astrogation to Cosmic Love (OP) but it’s not an anisong, lol
- Nanoha StrikerS: Massive Wonders (OP) or Pray (IN)
savage genius (2nd time)
It was pretty shocking when I heard Takumi retired November last year O_o; He looks really young to me, but maybe that wasn’t the case, lol. Poor Aa, she even looks so lonely in the CD cover (pic).

Tamura Yukari ç”°æ‘ゆã‹ã‚Š (1st time)
I literally fell off my chair when I saw her name on Animelo’s news page. NANOHA MEDLEY PLEASE. *fangirl-mode-on* Or duet. Or anything. Just appear on stage with Nana-chan, plz. xD

- any Nanoha ED: Hoshizora no Spica, Beautiful Amulet, Spiritual Garden, Little Wish.. take your pick.
- OtogiJushi Akazukin OP: Douwa Meikyuu, Princess Rose
Suara (2nd time)
Suara has the purest voice I’ve ever heard.. whatever she sings is fantastic. Reminds me to save money for PS3 so I can play her live Blu-ray.

- Blue Drop: BLUE (OP) or Tsubomi -blue dreams- (ED)
Day-2 Artists
Ishikawa Chiaki 石å·æ™ºæ™¶ (2nd time)
I’m really happy she’s back! I liked see-saw because of her voice. She was awesome in Animelo 2006, and I’m sure she will awe me again this year.

JAM Project (4th time)
I was so depressed when I had to remove Rica from the pic. Great loss for our beloved super-group. Really, why did she left? T_T

- ..or SKILL again? They did it twice already.. can I have DRAGON pls? 
domestic love band ドメスティック・ラヴãƒãƒ³ãƒ‰ (angela) (1st time)
I always love atsuko’s vocal (and about 90% of angela’s songs) so I’m definitely looking forward to DLB’s performance in Animelo.

- Soukyu no Fafner: Shangri-La (OP), Separation (ED), Peace of Mind (OVA)

Hirano Aya 平野綾 (1st time)
She totally failed last year, so I hope she won’t make me skip her in the DVD again this year. She sounded better in her newest single so let’s hope for the best.
Possible songs:
- Unnamed world (20-mensou no musume ED)
- Hopefully she could sing her anime songs (Haruhi/Sumomo/Manabi), without remix.
- But not Zettai Karen Children OP/ED, or those 3-singles.
Momoi Halko 桃井ã¯ã‚‹ã“ (2nd time)
Yay for Moe-moe-i, the real talent. She should do a God Knows duet with Aya and if those fanboys still choose her over Momoi, they must be deaf, lol.
Possible songs:
- Sunday Early Morning plz.
- Prism Ark: Opera Fantasia (anime ED) or Yuuen no Amulet (game OP)
- I love ALL her radio theme: Mail Me, 21-seiki, Yume no Baton, Enter!, etc, but maybe they won’t make the cut or surprise me with Gura Gura plz~ xD
PSYCHIC LOVER サイã‚ックラãƒãƒ¼ (2nd time)
Prolly the counterpart for Saturday’s GRANRODEO, but Yoffy sings waaaaay better than Kishow. I don’t really follow them, but I actually like those I’ve heard.

- GAIKING (Gaiking OP)
- Take My Soul Forever (Ring no Kakero ED)
kurobara hozonkai 黒薔薇ä¿å˜ä¼š (1st time)
Hoc-chan!! *goes into fangirl mode again* I’m hating Starchild for forcing her to bring those old school Chinese ghosts to her very first Animelo experience, but whatever. Hoc-chan!! (or should I scream YUIEL now?)
Possible songs:
- Red Signal and/or Blue Heaven
- tobenai tenshi 飛ã¹ãªã„天使 or hanabi 花ç«
ELISA (1st time)
She doesn’t have a site or jawiki :-/ Her songs are pretty good, or maybe I’m biased with whatever Tenmon’s composing, lol.
Possible song(s?):
- Hikari (Nabari no Ou ED)
- Euphoric Field (ef ~tale of memories~ OP), most likely its Japanese ver, but the English one sounds almost the same, so either one will do.
Nana-chan is 153cm, so those people are that short too? Lol.
Notes:
I just realized this few days ago, but Makkun is not listed separately from Jam Project in the official site, unlike in the previous events‘ sites. I’d kill them if that means no Makkun’s solo.. AND WHY, why Nana-chan and Makkun will be performing on different days? Rinbu Revolution duet was the smexiest thing ever, and I heard Transmigration duet on 2005 was mind-blowing too.. so tell me, why?
The theme song CD is set to be released on July 23rd. They have the habit of putting more beats into the song each year (from slow ballad Oneness to slightly upbeat Outride to fast-paced Generation-A) so we might be expecting something fun as well. Makkun should be the one behind this year’s theme too~ so no worries. Yay.
As for the DVD later; I’m afraid they will combine 2006 and 2007 nightmares together; as in 2x 8900yen. I don’t mind starving for another few days, but they should get it right this time. Previous years’ video quality was devastating. I mean, with that price I should expect at least something as good as Yukarin’s DVD (which reminds me, where is her Budokan live DVD?)
Fwah. I’m still so excited even after a month since I knew about this year’s Animelo. Hopefully I can get a ticket with a nice seat. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to rewatch previous years’ DVD..

NANOHA MEDLEY PLEASE INDEED! Hopefully the duet with ALI PROJECT makes up for the non-possibility of a repeat performance of that highly awesome Rinbu Revolution last year. Oh god, am getting so giddy thinking of the prospects, Nana-chan is beckoning me to go this year, hopefully my schedule allows it !!

Hmm..somehow I disagree with that. I think Hoc-chan appearing as Kurobara Honzokai member is a great boost to the group. It also shows that their songs are recognized and who knows, this may be the first step for this group to get out of doujin world and release their singles in the market.
I personally like Kurobara Honzokai. I see it as a medium for Hoc-chan to try new things, she even wrote the song Red Signal and all their songs are arranged by themselves. All in all every members of Kurobara Honzokai are very committed musicians so please don’t see them as just some visual kei weirdos leeching popularities from Hoc-chan in Animelo.

Kurobara has been around for 2 years now but hasn’t made more than 10 songs, so it’s hard for me to see them more than Hocchan’s side-project to go along her radio show. I like how YUIEL sings, though, I was just surprised since the usual ‘sweet-Hocchan’ should appeal more to the crowd. Heck, who even knows about them except Hocchan’s fans?
And not sure about the ‘everyone is a committed musician’. Oykt (guitar) and Elel (bass), maybe. But Zemeel *barely* sings chorus. And Ma-sama dances.
…or I’m just ranting coz I couldn’t hear Hikari/Days live. =_=
Undeniably there are some eye brows raising members in the group. I mean Angel Dance? What the heck. But then again, he did pen the lyrics for Red Signal.
Of course I will gladly accept the idea of Hoc-chan performing her usual songs such as Koisuru Tenkizu in Animelo. But then again, we can see that in her concert, but not Kurobara’s performance. I think I will stick with the Kurobara Honzokai this time.
