So I guess most of you have watched or at least aware of Animelo 2009 Press Release live broadcast in NND this afternoon.
Yes lol, the official live title is RE:BRIDGE.
Something to do with wanting to reconnect anison artists and fans just like the very first Animelo (that was called BRIDGE). I hope that means Nana/Makkun will re:do a TRANSMIGRATION duet, or they can at least bring Shimokawa Mikuni back.
And let’s wish they won’t include that magic word in the theme song lyrics.
I got in the livecast 10 minutes before it started, and judging from the comments, most people were excited about Nana/Yukarin, including me. Then finally they started calling out the guests.. BUT they weren’t exactly the usual suspects.

In order of appearance:
Kageyama Hironobu, Okui Masami, Ayane (LOL @ all the panicked 奈々ちゃんは??! filling up the screen), Chihara Minori (hoards of みのりん!みのりん!みのりん!wait that wasn’t me I swear), Yonekura Chihiro, and Aa of Savage Genius.
Current line-up
8/22: Ayane, Ishikawa Chiaki, ELISA, JAM Project, Chihara Minori
8/23: Sakakibara Yui, Savage Genius, Hirano Aya, Mizuki Nana, Yonekura Chihiro.
It’s still too early to be unimpressed but I am.
- Not listing Kuribayashi Minami. This is the first time she’s not in the first line-up. T_T
- Separating Nana and Minorin.
- Putting Nana and Hirano in the same day (No I don’t give a crap on White Album, I don’t think they even considered that, srsly)
- Not listing Tamura Yukari.
Ayane and Yui-nyan are nice surprises though.
Also good news (?) that this year Animelo will open 30,000 seats of Saitama Super Arena, each priced at relatively expensive 8,500 yen. Well, at least we have more reason to expect epic line-up from Re:Bridge!
And here’s official CM.
Chances are I wouldn’t be able to go this year, so I won’t get too worked up like last year and just casually checking out the official site and the Nico channel. Still expecting epic duets too.
Btw this was epic LOL.

I guess that’s what you get for choosing a way too simple stage name?
English Site (edited)
I just found out that the official site has an English page, even telling us about the advanced ticket reservation that will be opened tomorrow!
..which is mobile-member-only, hence a completely useless information for us poor gaijin anison freaks. - -;;
But at least this shows that they are aware of foreigners who specially traveled to Japan for Animelo so it’s not a bad thing either.

Eh, I’m not impressed that dekobitch & Nana are on the same day… still contemplating whether I should go this year or not. A dream line-up for me would include Maaya, Hashimoto Miyuki, Suara, Mikuni, KOTOKO, fripside and eufonius (and get rid of AliPro, but that’s wishful thinking), and it’d be great if they could toss in Nakajima Megumi or some of the guys like Ono Daisuke or Nao-nii. Let’s hope we get some nice surprises over the next few months.

Yeah I’m not impressed with that too, thank God someone invented skip button.
The dream team sound good, but I’m afraid if we ask for one, the rest of I’ve would follow, lol. I won’t really like that
Hashimoto / Mikuni / eufonius is possible though, they actually have the right connection. Same goes with Nao (ew) and Ono-D.
Make it more impossible by hoping a tiaraway reunion. They did reunite under17 anyway.
I just hope they keep angela and Kurobara, they were awesome in 8.31 last year.

Current lineup isn’t exactly stirring my interest, and RE:BRIDGE sounds rather ridiculous (and doubt it’ll escape from being in the lyrics). Guess we’ll have to wait for the so-called nice surprises (assuming any), or I’ll probably fly back home for the summer instead -_-”

This may sound stupid… but what does RE:BRIDGE even mean? What needs to be bridged in the first place? Yea… the name this year sounds kinda lame.
I’ve always wondered why Sakamoto Maaya has never been on Animelo. Can anyone care to answer this question for me?

According to the site info, in this 5th anniversary of Animelo they want to reminisce why they started to produce Animelo lives, their original goal to “connect/bridge” fans and artists in one live (which was why the first Animelo title in 2005 was BRIDGE). Hence this year’s title is RE:BRIDGE because BRIDGE AGAIN is not cool enough.
I didn’t recall hearing the word “BRIDGE” in ‘05 theme song Oneness, so hopefully not this year too. It sounds ugly in katakana (リブリッジ = riburijji..)
For Maaya, I’m guessing it’s the “business” decisions between companies. But savage genius also belongs to Victor Ent like Maaya so that’s another question mark. Maaya’s back in the game again with new songs, so here’s hoping we get the surprise.

Predicting a Shin Ai duet between Aya and Nana. XDDDDDD
Aya really looks up to Nana and wants to be as famous as her. Duet with her = first step? XD
