Animelo 2009 Theme Song Preview.

Grabbed from the radio few days ago. It’s just a little over 2 minutes preview, but we can get a good grasp of the song.

The past 4 Animelo theme songs were composed by Makkun or Kageyama, but this time Kuribayashi Minami is in charge! Lyrics still penned by Makkun, so no worriez you’ll get your Engrish.

If my ears didn’t fool me, I believe the order would be:
Minami - Ayane - Yuinyan(?) - May’n(?) - Itou Kanako and (?) - Itou Kanako - Fukuyama(?) - Endoh - Momoi - Minorin - Minorin and (?) - ALL - Nana - Dekobitch(?) - Nana and Chihi(?) - ALL - Nana - Suara - Aa(?).

Anyway, some thoughts about the song:

- Sounds terribly like a fast-paced anime OP lol.
- Ayane really sounds like Nana or I’ve been listening to Ultimate Diamond waaay too much.

- The individual parts are getting shorter and shorter.. they’re attempting to make more harmony or just can’t fit everyone. It made it extra hard to recognise the singers.

- The proportion between male and female singers are still pretty bad, I just hope they realise this and not release another useless “male only” version just to make up the c/w tracks D:

- Animelo ditched Geneon (who released the previous CDs) and go with Dwango now.. but if Evolution (Makkun’s company) still takes care of the CD, the sound quality won’t improve heh.

- Credited in the official site but I don’t think I’ve heard them yet: ELISA, manzo (more like I never listen to him), Arika (thank goodness), Ishikawa Chiaki, Oumi Tomoe, Makkun, Kishow, Psychic Lover, Kitadani..
…err now that I count it, it has 24 people D: IN ONE FREAKING SONG. I think this broke the record of having the highest number of people involved, compared to the previous ones.

Overall it’s still a mixed bag for me, I don’t really like the chorus…. AND I’m still upset at the fact that they are not selling any DVD this time. WTF dat’s like the only reason I bought the previous singles, lol.

The cover itself is hideous, like usual.

…but considering what could be the alternatives, I’ll take that dull orange cover anytime, lol. Imagine buying these rubbish:

…uh anyway enough crap, it’s up in CDJapan and Amazon if you want to buy it.. I will just put it on my list when I go for DIAMOND.
