Anisama 2009 Goods and Japan Loot
…lol OK looks a bit scary. These are Anisama goods, except the silver confetti that fell to my head in the end of the concert, so I brought it home. xD
Anisama Goods Set A, which is a pretty good deal for 10,000 yen:
- Eco-bag, looks crappy but pretty strong.
- Black towel.. sold out in the first day.
- The fan thing that nobody used cos it might break easily.
- Anisama wristbands for both hands.
- Orange wrist lights, which I didn’t use cos I’ve got my awsm sticks.
- Pamphlet, which is pretty boring cos they just put the most current official pics.
- Orange shirt, my preference over the two designs (and Nana wore it in encore!).
Extra purchases:
- Black shirt. Just because.
- Anisama x 5pb Original Live Commander, a.k.a the penlights belt. Bought cos it looks funny. No I did NOT wear it like this during the live, I swear!
- 5th Anniversary DVD containing PV for all 5 theme songs and Making Of Re:Bridge.. not sold outside Japan.
- Re:Bridge CD, which got me free printed autographs of the artists (the square paper).

- Aww, that’s a pretty cute version of Minorin. No comment on her usual alien font.

Day 2.
- Oh yeah, GACKT is also an ancient being, hence the caligraphy.
- Yukari-hime~~~!! That looks like her a lot~
- Hirano Aya’s self-portrait also looks like her a lot.
- The contrast between Yui-nyan and Suara is awsm lol.
- Yousei Teikoku’s logo is really cool.
- Faylan’s is unexpectedly cheerful lol.
- Nana’s sign and her usual unreadable message. But hey mini Nanette!

1. Sakakibara Yui / Phantasm (CD+DVD) (buy)
Probably the coolest Yui-nyan act ever! Bonus DVD is a secret live cosplaying as the smexy Ayase from rock band FES (from Chäos;HEAd animu).
2. Nico Nico Douga Selection ~Sainou no Mudazukai~ (CD) (buy)
Literally means ~Wasting Talent~ lolol. The only reason why I bought this retarded CD is obviously track 13 JAM Project / Omoide wa Okkusenman!! I suppose this is because of the immensely mind-blowing Anisama 2008 top batter. The CD version is even better with Makkun!
3. Horie Yui / Honey Jet!! (CD) (buy)
Not all that good, but enjoyable for a fan of Hocchan’s sweet voice, especially that track with full Engrish lyrics. Okay to be honest I just want the awsm poster (pics below).
4. Faylan / mind as Judgment (CD) (buy)
Seems that everyone fell in love with this hawt newcomer lol. Screw Gamers for giving me Canaan postcard, I want a Faylan photo! Just look at that back CD cover~ xD ..hmm she can make a good Alphard.. *runs*
5. Okui Masami feat. May’n / Miracle Upper WL (CD) (buy)
To be honest, I really love this. Ok, maybe 90% because of the amazing PV and the fact I saw it live. They really look like sisters (..I would have said mother-daughter, but one looks too young and the other looks too old..). I want the PV~!!
6. Agematsu Mika / Best (CD) (buy)
Yes bought for the harp version of Super Generation. Don’t look at me like that. xD
7. savage genius feat. Ohmi Tomoe / maze (CD) (buy)
Love the song tho I never bothered to watch Pandora Hearts.
8. FictionJunction / Everlasting Songs (CD) (buy)
Been forgetting to buy this since it came out early this year. Finally bought it.. and hey, I got two postcards. I shall look at them everyday to remember the girls’ names. So that cute girl is Kaori.. hmmm.
9. Okui Masami / Self Satisfaction (CD) (buy)
Title is LOL but somewhat appropriate. She covers the songs that she previously arranged for other singers.. and while I only heard half of the original versions, I must say Makkun’s versions are mostly stronger and better.
10. Suara / adamant faith (CD) (buy)
I got two bonus cos my friend didn’t want his. The 2nd photo is so funny, it took me couple of minutes to find Suara amongst the trees. She blends in! *runs* adamant faith sounds like a lesser Musouka (glad she didn’t sing this in Anisama), but the ballad c/w is instant love.
11. Suara / Kizuna (CD) (buy)
Eh.. I haven’t really listened to the CD.. but so far I like it better than Taiyou to Tsuki. As usual I have no complaints on Suara’s voice and skill. Kizuna is way more lively with more variants for her to explore, tho the CD cover continues to be boooooring (isn’t that just a new Amaneuta cover or what?)
12. m.o.v.e / Anim.o.v.e01 (CD+DVD) (buy)
AWSM version of Sousei no Aquarion (omfg yuri) made me buy this. Another better God Knows version won’t hurt also. xD The DVD features footage of the last live of m.o.v.e with t-kimura, who will focus on production and not performing on stage anymore.
13. Momoi Halko / Ai no Medicine ~Anisama Version~ (CD)
New version of Momoi’s debut song that was also performed in Anisama. Compared to the original, it’s more lively and Momoi’s vocal definitely improved over the year. Mugi mugi~~♪ The c/w track “Galge” is a nice surprise too, it’s a catchy Akibapop song that was featured in a Wii game a while back.

This thing is DAMN HEAVY like srsly torturing to carry this around (and I had to buy multiple copies for other people $@!#!). The photo is its Gamers store bonus.

..the alternate cover doesn’t help the hideous rooster costume. I must say I’m disappointed with the lack of audience sound during the concert, so what’s the difference of watching this and listening to the CD?

Crow costume is even scarier. Price freaking kills, tho I still dislike the concert part for the stated reason above. Bought anyway cos of the drool-worthy Message 2.5 – 2 hours documentation of the live rehearsals and tours. I wonder if I should review this for those who don’t have Bluray players? Hmm..
4. Mizuki Nana / Ultimate Diamond (CD/CD+DVD) (buy)
… times three. GEE I WONDER WHY. So yeah I own 4 in total, with the 1st one I bought online. The delicious big thing is the LP cover from Gamers, also bonus photo.
5. Sakamoto Maaya / We Are Kazeyomi! (DVD) (buy)
Haven’t watched it yet. Really an impulsive purchase. I guess that’s the effect of hearing the live version of Yubiwa.
6. Tamura Yukari / Dreamy Maple Crown (BD) (buy)
SOOO awesome in big screen and 5.1 speakers. Now THIS is a real live concert (yes I’m looking at you Parade). I wanted to review this but always got carried away watching it. The videos are up in Youtube anyway so no point. Lemme just say, Yukarin IS a cult.
7. Okui Masami / GIGS 2007 Masami Life (DVD)
Also haven’t watched. Bought cos GIGS DVDs are pretty hard to get lol.

The model is called Fenix LD20 and here’s the orange diffuser. The online shop offers free international shipping, but I got mine off a local Aussie shop which was cheaper. The turbo mode is 180 lumens!

Don’t see what all the Minorin/Parade hate is about. Saw the DVD, and thought (the second half) was super awesome. They had a lot more shots of the audience for the high-powered parts than quite a few of the Nana concerts I’ve seen in the past, really made me feel like part of the crowd. Probably helps that I was being a pathetic fool waving around a glowstick in front of my monitor too, but we’ll ignore that for now. (the BD has leaked onto the internet through the normal routes, if you know where to look, and have the space for it.)
10k yen for all that? Seems like a BARGAIN. Wish everything was priced so reasonably. :/ Lol @ Aya Hirano…just…no. Amazing how many of them can actually draw somewhat decently though.

@Socratics101: It’s the audience SOUND. Nothing to do with the shot. Compare it to, say, Music Japan performance of Paradise Lost where the sound is obvious. Can you hear the fans shouting back “motomeau!” and “hanarenai!”? I’ve seen Paradise Lost live 3 times, I know when it goes wrong.
and regarding the penlight, it’s a super deal. The orange fluorescence lights you see in concerts cost $5 EACH, dim down after 2 minutes, and totally die after 5 minutes. I spent $100 for a day in Live Fever.. now I only need to buy a pack of $5 batteries to last me HOURS. Do the math! =D
$100? Seriously? My friend who glowsticks told me he got a box of 50 ultra-bright 5 minutes for like $50 (shipping included), so I guess shipping it out to Australia probably costs out the arse (or you were being hosed?). I see your point though, plus those would probably come in handy for random tasks too. Out of curiosity, just how bright is the “180 lumens” that your awsm lights can produce?
You can’t really fault Lantis for making the audience sound quieter. They probably think most of the people who want to buy the Blu-rays to do so for Minorin’s act, not to hear her get partially drowned out by thousands of fellow fans. :/ Which is probably true. But you know, whatever. Still silly for making the concert on 2 dual-layer BDs…they totally could have fit it on one like Blue or Red Side.
$1 each stick? Care to give any link? The cheapest I could find for bulk buy is about $2~3 each. I bought them in stores in Japan, about 300 yen so yeah I was mixing up AUD and USD, sorry, but I’ve never seen anything close to $1 each.
An average Nana concert would require 20~30 UO for me, hence I decided to “invest” on Fenix lights. 180 lumens is about as bright as the ultra-orange when you first crack it.. so after one minute it wins.
Still ’bout “Lantis quality”.. first of all the singer’s voice is much louder than the fans (even in the actual concert, gee how do I know), so “drowned out” won’t happen. They could have just tuned down the cheers, or make an option to enable/disable the cheers, not completely shutting it off by just taking the microphone sound. The atmosphere is totally different, any concert-goers would love to replay the best moments without losing anything, especially if it costs heaps like Parade BD (in case you don’t know, it’s 9,800 yen)
Personally I agree with Danie on the crowd noise. I bought a number of seiyuu concerts DVD and I really dislike Lantis quality for killing off the crowd sounds. Otagei sounds are part of the attraction of the concert. I enjoyed chanting through the course of Hocchan’s or Nana’s concert and yes Paradise Lost and Tomorrow’s Chance or Voyager Train (wink wink) wouldn’t sound the same without the crowds’ cheer.
Cheap $1 UOs exist but they have a severe drawback. We gave away about 300 of these during Momoi’s concert at Fanime and while it was awesome for the first minute, ALL of them turned a washed out yellow halfway through and looked pretty off compared to people with real Cyalume UO or Fenix lights. So now I only trust official Cyalume brand UOs when a special song starts and get an urge to channel wada (it’s not economical or ergonomical to hold 5 LD-20s in each hand

Fenix actually is a little too effective sometimes. During concerts, if I’ve got it out for a long time I feel like I’m attention-whoring and have to switch down to something more low-key.
And yeah crowd noise enhances music IMO. I don’t listen to any Yukari songs anymore unless I ripped them from a concert. Plain versions sound empty and wrong.

I’m not meaning to make it into an argument or anything, but it would probably cost Lantis more money to add ANOTHER sound track to the Blu-rays (they already have LCPM and stereo, in fact that’s why they need the 2 dual-layers for the whole concert, because the sound takes up so much space). I would totally rather have them have included the otagei calls, just like you guys.
I’m just being devil’s advocate and trying to suggest things that Lantis might have taken into consideration when making it. Don’t burn me at the stake for it.
I agree though, Lantis is price-gouging – really makes you wonder if they’re trying to kill Minorin’s career…with how iffy her latest music has been and those crazy hairstyles.
About the glowsticks, I’ll ask my friend about them and post links later. He got them a few years ago, so I don’t know if they’re the same price now, but they used to do pretty well – I don’t recall anything like what paranda mentioned with the “washed out yellow”. :/
@Socratics101: FYI, the music composition for Minorin is not handled by Lantis, what more the hairstyles and clothes design. It’s all under her management company and Lantis is not her management company. Hairstyle wise is still okay but I think someone should really stab her clothes designer. The massacre of her clothes continues even in Summer Camp ~.~

@townberry: Is that so? Well, I stand very corrected. Doesn’t really change the fact that lately they’re all busy being blind mutes or something, since the hair and clothes look pretty bad. They do seem like decent people from what Message 01, 02, and 2.5 suggest.
@danie: Sorry took so long, friend wasn’t on much. I haven’t had a chance to try the sticks out myself (my friend said he’d let me try one, has yet to <_<), but he says they worked fine for him, none of the weird stuff paranda was talking about.
