Media and press organizations are welcome to sign up for media passes for event coverage purposes. Simply fill up this form and send it back to jm_tan@daiconnews.com.

Terms and Conditions

1. Each media organization is only allowed a maximum of TWO (2) representatives to DaiCon.
2. For each organization, the chief representative shall be responsible for registration and collection of the media passes during the event.
3. If the DaiCon Committee deems any act by any representative of any media organization to be an infringement of the DaiCon Event Rules and Regulations, media passes of both representatives shall be revoked by the DaiCon Committee.
4. The DaiCon Committee reserves the right to bar any representative(s) from entering the event if the representative(s) are infringing the rules and regulations of the event.
5. Requests for interview or for any special arrangements regarding media coverage of DaiCon can be made to Mr. Tan Jia Ming via jm_tan@daiconnews.com.
6. Each media organization is obliged to send a copy of all DaiCon coverage material in their respective publications to the DaiCon Committee.

Daicon is still a little over a month.. but there’s no harm in preparing early!

It’s been a while since I posted something about Daicon.. er actually the scary director threatened me to post something erh anyway. xD

First of all, check out Minorin’s page which is nao updated, with her new single Tomorrow’s Chance official promo look… well I never really liked gothic/dark Minorin, but it does fit better with Daicon’s black/blue theme.. tho the hanging metallic balls still annoy the heck outta me.

A bit of intermission here, I’m feeling nice enough today to share some delicious FC-exclusive pix, just like the one on top of this post. Now this is the Minorin I totally liek. You can steal another two of this set from the blog header or the FC main page.

Oh lol I forget the main reason I blog this. The good people over there have provided us with a useful FAQ page.. do read the page before the scary director slits your throat for asking the same retarded questions again and again. I’m particularly interested in this one FAQ here:

Permitted items to be autographed are:

1. Chihara Minori original CDs / DVDs.
2. Chihara Minori posters (included in the CDs or DVDs).
3. Whiteboards (LOL).
4. More items to be announced later

..I’m actually still confused on what I want Minorin to sign. At the moment, poster seems to be the best idea, like one of the calendar posters.. but I’m not sure if that’s allowed, according to the #2 rule of “included in the CDs or DVDs”.. but hey, the calendars are official too! Or prob just go the normal way and use the upcoming live DVD‘s tokuten poster lol.

CDs or DVDs are clearly not an option for me, jewel case is fragile and most of her cover arts have too many images and colours, cos I’m a maniac who wants to examine her writing strokes. I actually think that whiteboards seem to be the best option, heh, if I can’t get a decent poster that’s plain enough to be signed.

What also came to mind were books.. I’ve put my order on the upcoming live photobook, or just the Live Parade’s photobook (lol not the shirt, it’s way too fugly). But you can’t frame a book and hang it in your wall lol, so it’s against my showing-off policy. *runs*

For whoever is going, what would you like Minorin to sign?

So yeah, not only we’re getting a certain idol blogger and a certain lewd someone for Daicon, we also get an idol seiyuu, and not just any random idol seiyuu, it’s *THAT* MINORIN. I can finally nosebleed on her uneven eyes for reaaaaaal w000000t! =D =D

New updates from DaiCon~~ no, it’s not the “very special announcement” yet. Soon enough!

1. Registration for the Cosplay and Karaoke competitions has been opened! Solo cosplay and karaoke competitions are held on Day 1. Group cosplay competition will be held on Day 2.

2. We are proud to announce that Macross Fans Malaysia is joining DaiCon and they will be conducting an exhibition of Macross merchandise in DaiCon. A not to be missed opportunity for Macross fans in Malaysia!

3. Persatuan Weiqi Malaysia will be conducting a GO Adventure in DaiCon. Yes, it’s the “Go” from Hikaru no Go. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about Go or looking for like-minded people interested in Go, you can do so in DaiCon!

LOL I was considering to cosplay/sing, but I guess it’d just hurt people’s eyes/ears.. xD

What is DaiCon?

DaiCon is an expo, being organized on a scale rarely seen in Malaysia. It is an expo that has been created for the sole purpose of showcasing the latest and most innovative in the world of modern Japanese visual culture, from audio to video, print as well as interactive media.

Singapore happened to be in my holiday route during that time of the year, so I thought, hey, if I can grab a chance to meet whoever seiyuu is coming (anyone but Hirano Aya plz) and stalk j1m0ne by going to Malaysia for a couple days.. why not? It’s only a few bucks moar to get there by bus.

So with those goals in mind, I’m now officially an affiliated blogger too, joining the likes of (ahem) j1m0ne and le–townberry. It would be relatively easy to spot us, just how often do you see hysteric girls vomiting blood with a “blogger” pass on them? Do say hi if you’re confident enough you don’t get the wrong girls~ xD
