Just when I was still drooling over HD version of Mizuki Nana’s Trickster live in Music Fighter TV.. The best news of the day/week/month/year struck me so hard with excitement that I had to take another bottle of beer (and it’s 8 am in the morning).

Happy (belated) 20th birthday to me!
Finally all my “presents” came.. the 4 CDs I ordered from HMV got stuck in customs (boo!) which explains the late arrival. Thank goodness the CDJapan’s one came on time.. like daylight saving started on my birthday wasn’t bad enough.
After hundreds of loops, I decided that Trickster is my favorite out of the three (despite my obvious fond of the other’s PV). Well, Nana’s lyrics and Agematsu’s tunes combination always work best for me.. like Heart-shaped chant or Dancing in the velvet moon or my #1 Nana song Eternal Blaze. And can’t beat that acapela in the end of the song.. it’s officially somewhere in my top Nana songs now, but I never made a real list anyway, LOL.
DISCOTHEQUE is well, really fun, and I can’t stop thinking how incredibly cute it will be in her live concerts..
Last track Trinity Cross is a great song too. All the strings reminded me of Orchestral Fantasia or Tears’ Night.. and somehow reminded me to watch RosaVam2. LOL why am I still watching those vampire pants. Must be Moka’s “capuchuu~” that appeals to strange fans like me. Hopefully it gets better this time.. oh and don’t forget to pre-order the character song (out 10/29).
Go to next post for pics, or click the jump if you want Trickster’s romaji lyrics. Wanted to do real translation but I’m, well, lazy.
..or should it be the other way around? Since I’m the one who is spending the $, LOL. Too bad post office don’t deliver orders on Sunday or it would be perfect, as nothing is better than 5 copies of Trickster (and a Pick-up Voice) as birthday presents (uhm, Nana-chan in hadaka apron cooking me birthday curry (LOL) will win by a mile, but it won’t happen outside my dreams).
Trickster is much better than Starcamp EP, in a way that I can’t decide which song I like the most.. Full review after I listen to the CD-quality songs.. which I know will be so outdated by the time they arrived. But as much as I want to download the FLAC, I don’t have internet connection at the moment, LOL. So much for moving to a new house.. >_> and internet speed in uni (my only choice) is rather slow, and they freaking block Nico Nico Douga.
Anyway, looking at the Oricon chart, as j1m0ne also mentioned, there’s *no way* Trickster will outsell Johnny’s gay group NEWS’s Happy Birthday, but at least it outsold the others and is sitting on #2!! Yay!
I just got a premium Yahoo! Auction account, and so far it has successfully made me more broke than usual. And with everyone selling Trickster’s bromides.. I was tempted to get at least one of them, but then buying the CD is a better way to spend my food $.
How I wish to live in Japan so I can pick one five of these:

It’s finally out next month on October 23rd.
Happy Dance Collection is a Mizuki Nana game rhythm dancing game for Nintendo Wii, moving around your Wii remote as seen in the screencaps below..

..no idea how to do that.

Screw the CD. Give me Nana Clips 5 now!! >_<
OK, I admit Trickster PV is kinda cool, but DISCOTHEQUE is on a different level. And since I’m the kind of pervert person who prefers Aoi Iro to, say, Secret Ambition.. obviously this chu-ru-chu-ru-ba discolady thing won hands down.
I wish it’s the real PV, or at least has better quality than this.. but even in obvious bad pixels she still looks pretty damn cute.
So, DISCOTHEQUE PV has.. discotheque theme. Somehow it looks like a cheap 90s one.. I wonder if the polkadot dancers are Mika or Megu there~ too bad they don’t show the faces. Can’t wait for the real PV.. (too bad she doesn’t include it in her single). Can’t wait for the live version too! This song won’t dethrone Freestyle or Aoi Iro from my cutesy-Nana-song-list, but being better than COSMIC LOVE is already a plus.
Argh, I really want to watch Chelsea Girl properly or scan my Nana books but uni workloads won’t let me. I guess this is what I get for skipping weeks of uni.. >_>

Did anyone buy the CD?
I totally forgot about it, as I’ve stopped watching Shugo Chara! past episode 13. I could stand one whole season of cool-and-spicy-ness because Hoshina Utau’s first single was great (Blue Moon!) and because she looks like a shoujo version of Fate. *ahem* Nanotard speaking here.
I’ve listened to both version of BLACK DIAMOND. I prefer the major arrangement, it feels more.. dramatic compared to the indies one. Pretty good, it’s Nana’s voice after all, so definitely putting this to the shopping list. I still remember the pain when I delayed to order Meikyuu Butterfly and the limited edition ran out the next day. -_- I still see it in Yahoo! Auction for 5000+ yen. But I don’t think BLACK DIAMOND will be as successful as the predecessor.. :-/
Anyway, I’m going to Japan in a few days. Staying for Comiket (uhm, I might put my weeaboo cosplay pics.. or not), laughing/drooling on Yakai na Nakamatachi, and of course, enjoying the two best days of my life: Animelo. And so, this idiotic blog is on hiatus now.. ^_^

Originally a popular shoujo light-novel by Tani Mizue started in 2004, I didn’t have any idea what it was before Nana voiced the leading female in its drama CD adaptation last year. I wasn’t that interested until I knew its anime version will be airing next season.
Set in England during the Victorian era of 19th century, the fantasy tale follows a fairy doctor and a blue knight count in their journey to find a legendary sword. Despite their stupid job names and seemingly shallow plot, this might be a good alternative to replace Allison to Lillia to get my weekly dose of decent Nana anime.
Staff

Original character design
Animation by Artland and directed by Soutome Kouichiro, I’m expecting this to be at least as good as Bokura ga Ita. They brought us the awesome Mushi-shi and likeable (but brainless) Umisho too. Composer Gokita Takehito is responsible for music, and apparently J-pop band AciD FLavoR gets the OP. The character design looks very shoujo, but it’s pretty good.
Cast

Midorikawa Hikaru and Mizuki Nana will lead the cast as count Edgar J.C. Ashenheart and fairy doctor Lydia Carlton. Yuuki Hiro as Nico, Lydia’s fairy partner in a cat’s form. Koyasu Takehito as Kelpie, a tall-dark-bishonen fairy. Sugita Tomokazu as Raven, the count’s loyal servant. Kamiya Hiroshi as Paul Firman, an artist who likes to draw fairies.

The rest of the cast hasn’t been confirmed, but the drama CD line-up looks good. I spotted Kugimiya Rie, Asano Masumi, Miyake Kenta, Chafurin, Ohkawa Tohru, Miyano Mamoru, Sendai Eri, Yonaga Tsubasa, Sasaki Yuko, etc. Dunno who will make the cut though.
More information in the official site.

..and also Mishima’s, actually, but I dunno how old he is now because I don’t give a damn about that lucky bastard. I’m sure fans who follow Nana and Yukarin would have recognized him as the not-so-appealing guy who appears almost everywhere in their making of DVDs.
And so, the story was Nana tricked both of them, asking Suara to come for “Mishima’s birthday party” and did the same for Mishima. That night Nana and Suara wore yukata, I wish I could get a bigger picture than the one in Nana’s blog so I didn’t have to force my poor eyes to see it. And I saw crews cosplaying as Nanoha (is that Mika-chan?) and Fate. Okay, so Nana has access to Fate’s barrier jacket.. ahem.
Anyway, the party was 2 days ago but Suara’s birthday is today.. So, happy birthday, Suara-chan! (ノ ̄∇ ̄)ノ~~ Wishing her for a better year (and maybe a couple of kilos). Btw, her newest album will be out in 3 weeks. Buy it, people.
Woot?!
Before anyone complaining why the layout is so ugly, this is only a dummy version I made (thanks ron~ for free bandwidth), while waiting for the actual domain name which is coming next week. So I swear it won’t look this rubbish later.

Pretty nice cover. Er, her expression maybe.. a bit weird, but as a Nana lunatic I’m happy with whatever. And I just realized she updated her official site photos too. Better job than the cover, if you ask me.
Here’s comparison with the previous Nana Clips covers..

I’m seriously wishing for nicer packaging.. I mean, those standard boxes look like Chinese bootlegs. Especially the pink one. Ugh.
Animelo Theme Song

The title will be 「Yells~It’s a beautiful life~」.
As usual, Okui Masami is responsible for lyrics, and this time Kageyama Hironobu is in charge of composition. They did a great job for OUTRIDE, which remains as my favorite Animelo song until now. I have no idea how they gonna put that many artists in one song.. but definitely looking forward to it and the DVD. Longer making-of, please!
It’s up for pre-orders in Amazon and CDJapan. Get it now for a bonus poster.
And Animelo gets two more performers: m.o.v.e and Misato Aki!! Can’t wait until August. Wish me luck for a cheaper arena ticket in Yahoo! Auction.. >_<
I just knew that this concert was attended by 16,000 people; which made it her biggest live to date (2007’s Live Museum had 12,000 people). Nice~ I should attend one of her concerts later..
Hum, I might be developing interest on taking pictures of DVD boxes with nendoroid figures now. Weird hobby +1 eh?
Note: I borrowed ron’s studio again for the photos.
Anyway, here is the second part of the review~ Enjoy.
Even Konata and Kagami are happy with the nice packaging~
FINALLY I got my DVD last Friday. I swear I will NEVER use airmail again for any Nana-related things. I saved a few bucks but was mentally damaged for the whole week.
Anyway, the DVD totally worth the wait (no wonder it topped the Oricon chart). I’ve lost count how many times I’ve re-watched it (I skipped sleeping this weekend~ xD). I wonder why my housemates haven’t kicked me out of the house for looping this through the night.. ^^;
And I really liked the audio commentary. Although my Japanese is on par with Hirano Aya’s English (read: terrible), I grasped few interesting things.. I’ll add some of them in the review.
Note: Thanks ron for helping me to take the pic, and lending the studio.
Edit: I didn’t know moyism had uploaded so many screencaps already, I was going to link his booklet photos coz I’m too lazy to scan mine, lol.
Without further due, here I present you a very biased track-by-track review of Mizuki Nana Live Formula DVD, disc 1..
