My FC seats were pretty good, row 12 center (Final) and 14 right-side (Countdown). Hall was pretty small with decent sound system, so it was great. :3 Would be perfect if I didn’t have a fever lol.

Songs/setlist

-There were many mini-TV on stage, which should be for countdown use, but apparently affected the song choices too… they chose songs with music videos so they have something to stream on those tiny screens…. orz. ^^;; I was hoping for rarer songs but it was like a single compilation live..

-I haven’t watched Horizon (oops) but Tooshi Douka (IN song?) acapella was nice.

-Right after New Year Countdown, as the confetti exploded everyone shouted AkeOme (meanwhile Minorin put on a happi coat) then intro to Hyper New World!! First song in 2012!

-Very happy to get Moratorium (tho its obvious) and especially enjoyed raison, tho I’ve been in love with it since KFD Live ^^;

-People were expecting Sunshine flower (although its freezing cold winter) but in the end we’re just happy with Key For Life (yellow cyalumes not going to waste! xD)

-Guilty‘s choreography is JUST. DARN. HAWT. AND. AWESOME. What nosebleed? Those made me vomit blood. +that “Ah~” was FFFFFFFF(;´Д｀)’ハァハァ you’ll understand when the footage is out, I’m NOT overreacting.

-Minorin asked us to sing along during Junpaku. Most people remembers the lyrics, way more than purest note during its PV recording in Summer Camp lol.

-Flag medley was great!! Rearranged only the best parts (those with flag waving lol) ^^

Notes/MC

-Scheduled to start 3 pm (Final) / 10.30 pm (Countdown), both started 15 mins late.

-A staff appeared on stage to read the rules because nobody did, and emphasized on the new rules: 1) NO custom penlights (cyalumes, official penlights, those not-so-bright sold in shops are OK), 2) 1 light in 1 hand at 1 time, and 3) NO excessive moves.

I’m happy with 2 and 3 (annoying when it’S like seeing Minorin behind windscreen wiper), but kinda ;_; on rule 1.. as much as I like breaking cyalumes, they are expensive.

-Can’t remember the 1st costume well besides it being ugly and colorful lol. The 2nd costume though, was really good. Black/yellow checkered and showed enough legs. =D

-Band members: Dai-sensei (violin), Nabe-chan (guitar), Dai-chan (guitar), Naoyan (bass), Kenny (keyboard, leader), and Gan-chan (drum). It got hilarious when people start calling Dai-sensei “Musshu” (=Monseiur in Engrish or should I say Frenrish), his new nickname as a member of Nana’s band (since Live Castle).

-MC topic for member introduction (includes Minorin): 2011 reflection (Final), and 2012 resolutions (Countdown). Minorin mentioned Summer Camp 3 was a hard challenge.. and I’m still hating myself for not attending the first day when she covered AKB’s Ponytail to Shushu.

-Liked Minorin being the usual airhead… she said “2011 yoroshiku!!” after New Year then Kenny corrected her “It’s 2012….” LOL I love this girl. She also still hasn’t done her year-end cleaning (and had no intention too).

-Minorin established a new routine that she will wear her favorite yellow sneakers for encore.

-Both lives lasted about 2.5 hours, shorter than usual but it’s understandable since she has to perform twice. Glad it gave me just the right break time to watch Kohaku in electronic shop Yodobashi in Yokohama. ^^; Well huge TV is much better than the mobile phone alternative, and I’m just happy I can make it to watch AKB’s and Nana’s solo parts.

Goods

Only got a flag, a penlight-flag (flag is switchable), and a charity band.

Many interesting stuff like 3D poster, karuta (card-game) and candy drops, or wtf stuff like smartphone-use gloves, very ugly T-shirts, and ultra expensive girls pack (hairband and mirror for 4000 seriously?).

1. New single out 21 March 2012!
Composer Agematsu (EleGa) and lyricist Takarano Alika (ALI Project).. yep gonna be an epic song with very complicated lyrics lol. Title was written in flyer “Celestial Diva“, tie-up with Square Enix iPhone game “Chaos Ring II”.

2. New album is titled “Dream World Formation”
After both lives, we got a first-hand PV screening of the lead track “D-Formation“. It’s the usual fast-paced Elements Garden song (Defection-style), but what intrigued me was how strikingly similar the PV was with Nana’s Synchrogazer. The only problem was who the hell suggested a purple skirt for a cyborg orz. Tempted to do another Nana/Minorin crossover post lol.

Later we found out the price from the flyer.. wtf is 6300 for Bluray set! I want my Acoustic Live in full glory but still wtf.

3. Live tour 2012 “D-Formation”
Crazy schedule here. FIFTEEN lives within 2 months. Best of luck for friends who are going to all lives (and Minorin’s health too). ^^; For now I’m planning to attend Kanagawa (7 April, opening day) and Tochigi (21 April) since they’re not far. I don’t dare to plan for May before Nana’s summer tour schedule is out.. would like to attend Saitama (6 May) too. I hate Tokyo’s NHK Hall (bad sound system). Everyone’s betting there’s an addition final live sometime in June, could be 2 days in Budokan?

Technically it was just an initial screening of Summer Camp 2 BD (out Feb 23), and “birthday event” for Minorin’s double-CD release. The main attraction was clearly Minorin joining us to watch herself (can’t beat this narcissism lol).

Before the live
Being in stupid Wednesday I arrived 30mins after they started letting people in (my FC entrance number is useless..). Being free-standing I joined some friends in the right-back side, which is elevated with much better view of the huuuuuge projection screen. Starting with Making of Summer Camp 2 while waiting for everyone to get in.

Surprise! Band members entered 2F! Only Dai-sensei, Naoyan, and Dai-chan. They sat in center front rows of 2F.

Double-single birthday!
Video ended right at 6.30pm, and Lantis producer Saito-P got on stage…wearing aloha live shirt lol. After behavior rules etc he called Minorin to stage! Shining as usual in light-blue live shirt and long white skirt. <3

Minorin always refers to her CD release days as birthdays, and Feb 9 was her first twin’s birthday! The reason why this event was held on Wed. Minorin said that releasing 2 full singles at once (@3 songs) demanded more efforts, even harder than making an album. 2 PV, 2x cover, within 2x faster duedates.

Short PV clips out weeks ago, but we got the first full PV special screening!

Defection. Dangerous…for my nose. Black skintight suits OMFG$!@#@! it’s like a sexier, SM version of FaiMora! Like Minorin’s usual PV, there are 2 sides of Minorin, black and white. On the song’s climax, dark Minorin in glass cage breaks free.. yes, exactly like Nana’s Phantom Minds. xD Blue lights for its dark image.

Key For Life. Cheerful bright song, well-reflected on its colorful PV and fans’ yellow lights! There are 4 Minorins fooling around but not even 1 thought of straightening her hair. I love this song, but yeah.. okay they want the twins to have totally different image, but the opposite of “futuristic” is NOT “hippie”…. (I’d suggest “twintails” but who am I to talk).

Saito-P and Minorin back on stage. Minorin asked how her “KFL look” was, and there goes few secs of awkward silence (beats me) before a girl shouted KAWAII~! ^^;; which surprised Minorin there were the better species in this sea of kimoota, and  she called for girls. About 5 (incl. me) in standing floor, +20(?) in Girls Area, give or take +10 in 2F.. of 1700 capacity orz.

Followed by taking commemoration photo. <3

Minorin joined her band members in 2F.. it was dark during screening so not sure if fans in 2F could see her, but at least those around her won’t be watching the screen heh.

Summer Camp 2 Day 2 screening
I was there so no comment on setlist. ^^; Everyone cheered to the screen as if it’s real. In special parts, spotlight was on Minorin so everyone turned heads (whole body actually) facing real-Minorin. Without a mic, technically she was cheering to herself on screen while everyone cheered to her real self (lolwut). Perfect view of real-Minorin from my position.

HOLYFFFUU–live aloha dance again!! Minorin + 3 band members + Saito-P… and since everyone spotted Minorin’s manager Seno-san on the left side of 2F, we shouted “SENO-SAN! SENO-SAN!” to join the dance.. ^^;;; of course he didn’t move an inch, but a staff grabbed his hand and dragged him to the spotlight so he had no choice.. LOL. Now if only Minorin’s female manager Maririn also danced… sadly she was recording the funny moments with hand-cam ^^;

Oh btw yes I mastered the dance. It’s easy! xD

Impressions.
It was the summer of 2010 all over again in Yokohama BLITZ!
Watching with other fans, getting all worked up.. WITH the artist herself, I had much more fun than I had expected. :3 Tho one thing to complain, it smelled like crap and too suffocating I couldn’t breathe properly. I’ll definitely get in Girls Area in Zepp tour!

I wanted to skip this release to save money, and that attending the live & this event was enough.. but now I want it. Uguu. ;__;

Continuation from DAY stage, NIGHT Stage started 6.30pm until 10pm. I gathered with a lot of Minorin fans, so not sure if they reopened the hall entrance on time, but everyone managed to get in pretty quickly.

Talk Corner. Mentioned how Maon had her Akiba dream came true since she worked in DearStage before getting a major debut. Her 50Q survey answers reveal her otaku-self! Like.. Q: “Which country do you want to go?” A: “Yukari Kingdom.” LOLOL fellow citizen!! She received loud cheers and waves of pink lights for this, which somehow turned into Melon corner! She did “Maooooon” lololol interesting girl. ^^

Then what a “character song” meant blabla, before shocking non-fans with live extended version of Kigurumi!! I didn’t watch Hanamaru so I had no idea about this hilarious loli-opera!! You Raise Me Up was okay, tho she could fix some pronunciation.. glad almost nobody waved pink (her Sphere color) in this song.

Talk Corner, Yoshida praised Ayahi too much it got rather lolwut to listen to (“Have a solo opera live overseas” etc) though “Nobody else can sing Kigurumi” part sounds about right. ^^;
-Ayahi was sooo short I couldn’t see anything so I sat down and watched the screen.

Wakana was shopping by herself, found really cute clothes and wanted to buy it though it looked kinda small… brought it to cashier who whispered to her, “Miss, that’s for kids…” LOLOL so Wakana was just “Ah is that so? I see, I see..” as she quickly ran out of the shop. ^^;; Keiko laughed until she squatted down. ^^;

Keiko “can’t think of any…” which got the other 2 members burst into laughing. ^^;; Yoshida said Keiko does seem like the most get-together person (lol), but Hikaru and Wakana quickly said “But she’s very amusing!” and was asked to give examples. Hikaru said Keiko likes to walk jumpily to them with a bright smile with no reason LOL I think Hikaru’s attempt to copy Keiko doing that was more hilarious. ^^;; Then Wakana added some more details until Keiko (now red-faced) cut them with shouting 「終ー了！！」ヽ(￣Д￣)/ (End of taaalk!!). Uhm did we just witness Keiko’s latest embarrassing moment? xD

Never knew Kalafina girls are so interesting! I’m sold. :3

PS. I’m happy that they let Kalafina sing an extra song, but secret guest in DAY and none in NIGHT? lol sounds even more dodgy now.. (see conspiracy theory in DAY report XD)

Totally awesome of course, I jumped only with adrenaline (and UO for TomoChan and green-powered FaiMora!). Promoted Haruhi movie BD/DVD that was out 12/18 before Boukyaku. Glad to see many white lights for Yuki-chan! Follows right-away with everyone’s favorite ParaLost!

Like Kawada Mami in DAY, Yoshida joined Minorin on stage for a Talk Corner (shorter again, since the previous artist talk dragged on), promoting new singles next year, then pumping audience for the new song that was just recorded last week! Yay live version! Btw Makkun wrote the lyrics.

Defection started with English techno-ramblings, before breaking into some strings then fast-paced Kikuta-style (Radio ver here).
-Final MC, she said that the final song would be a song specially made for lives, so she wanted us to enjoy it together.. uh didn’t bring yellow stick. It’s really SunFlo! Jumping around in this freezing December as if it was summer! Expected nothing less from sunny girl (晴れ女) :3

Ending also had similar video like DAY, listing all performers and band members. “See you next!”.

Thoughts.
Okay it was a solid anisong live, but I’m not sure what they’re trying to achieve.. a winter counterpart of Animelo Summer? If so, their real problem was no sense of unison. No duets at all made me feel a bit cheated lol. I did sorta guess since the line-up seems pretty hard to mix-match, but not impossible!

They gathered more variations of artists.. which just resulted in many fans only coming for specific person(s) with little to no interest in others. Not necessarily bad, but some people just have no respect, like those going home after certain artist, or sitting down until certain artist.. :-/ Pretty sad fangirl ratio too, though a bit more in NIGHT (Minorin?), but well the line-up did scream “Angel Beats, Index, Sphere” .. ^^;

Long (20 mins?) talk corner in between each performer made it felt like a few separate lives put together (each artist even brought their own band). Could cut them a bit for, say, final greetings at the end? Closing with a video was rather cold even for winter, especially for an anison live! Big names gathering but no interaction with each other at all? Gives the impression they signed up, rehearsed separately, come to sing and talk with Yoshida, then go home? Not even a photo together in blogs (total opposite of this LOL), did they even talk with each other in backstage? ^^; Who knows?

Oh well, in the end of the day, it was great (can’t go wrong with most artists) with plenty high moments (for each artist separately lol). I saw some big recording cameras so this might get a release or at least footage..

Hoping for a better LisAni in 2011!

This year FC-limited birthday event was held last Sat (13 Nov) in Zepp Tokyo!
Another event in Osaka (14 Nov) but members could only attend 1 event or none. It was lottery since both halls only hold 2,500 capacity and m.s.s. should have 9,000 members now.

I wasn’t feeling well, so skipped early queuing.. and it was pretty cold too. Got there pretty late, about 30 mins before they hall opened.. goods booth was already closed!! Darn I could have asked friends to get them first but it’s against my personal belief (only those who queued deserve goods ). Well, glad I wore Sing All Love grey T-shirt and brought old flags.

Booth reopened after event ended, so I got some. In top photo, first FC flag ever! And bonus bromide from calendar.

T-shirt. Glad to know this year’s theme is red. Last year’s purple was… uh. Unnecessarily they sold WS size for girls.. shoulders part is too narrow for me so I bought S. Minorin seems to wear S too since it was loose-fitted.

The only things sold out were limited Moe Minori strap and bowl set.. cute lil figurine but not worth dying for (if I queued I’d die). ^^; The rest I passed: sports towel, wristband, hoodie, totebag, pins.

Entering the hall…
As usual, m.s.s. was very strict for FC events. Alloted 2 hours to let only 2000 people get in, to confirm each photo ID = m.s.s membercard = event ticket. Obviously I got triple-checked (lol); glad alien card was enough since I never carry passport around ^^;

I got pretty lucky entrance number 5xx (out of 2,400 free-standing and 300 2F free-seating), securing a place in center row 10. As opposed to last week’s Girls Night, it was full of guys… like 1-2% girls? >_<

Early entrance number means I gotta wait a LONG time, about 1.5 hours. Glad a friend was next to me, and Message03 was screened.

…finally it’s 5pm!
Minorin’s manager Seno-san (now nicknamed… Senorin? LOL approved!) got on stage to explain rules; summed up into (in Engrish): NO PUSH, NO DANCE, NO SUITTA. Okay, Twitter. xD Basically don’t leak anything before Osaka event is over. Everyone obeyed btw.

Part 1 (May 23)
1 day after Fukuoka SAL live, Minorin in train… going somewhere far? Arrived in 鹿角花輪駅 (Kazuno-Hanawa Station) in Akita Prefecture! Everyone already knew what this is all about. ^^;

Yep, Akita-born Moe Minori rice!

Lil FYI. It was NOT made based on Minorin, just coincidentally had the same name (…or viral marketing xD). Someone informed minorhythm radio last December. Rabid Minoritards bought so many within one week that Moe Minori shop sent some to Minorin. Then they officially collaborated: Minorin voiced Moe Minori, special Minorin character was made… even shop owner Ambo-tencho was invited to guest in minorhythm live recording ^^;

Anyway, the idea was to “Make Moe Minori from scratch“! Means literally Rice Planting!! Minorin wore Akita’s traditional farmer clothes….. suits her too well. Then comes the rare sight of a pretty city girl planting rice into soil manually!!

MC: Woooooaaaaaaah.

Part 2 (July): Weed Control
Coming back in July! It’s time to get rid of pest plants around our Moe Minori babies. It was raining pretty badly but didn’t stop Minorin to protect Moe Minori! Again, it was manual labor, plucking plants…

….then Minorin started singing 手のひらを太陽に (Tenohira o Taiyou ni)… ^^;;;; Totally LOL at first, but then it turned into a montage and everyone got quiet. The lyrics, Minorin’s innocent voice… let us understand that “Even weed and pest plants are just trying their best to live…” I actually felt really touched. >_< Just about time everyone almost broke into tears, Minorin ad-libbed the lyrics into “みのりんも生きている” (Minorin is living too) which got everyone chuckled instead ^^;;

Part 3 (October): Crop Harvesting ~ Eating!
Harvesting done manually with sickle! Minorin was damn fast lol. But processing into rice of course by machine. ^^; Minorin also helped packing, writing bag numbers (I just hope whoever get this next will understand that inverted “SS” means number “22″)… Anyway, time to eat some Moe Minori!

Minorin in charge of rice, Ambo-mother prepared dish (fish I think). Looked nice, and tasted delicious! (well, according to Minorin lol). Seriously, eating rice she planted herself… it’s a rare experience not everyone can get; almost impossible for your average city person. Respect level goes over 9000 here.

Lastly, time to go home. Minorin shook Ambo-mother’s hands, but then she just grabbed and hugged Minorin…. it ended up a tearful separation. Aaw. Such a warm, pure-hearted person still exists.. Minorin is an angel (*´д｀*) I believe some fans cried. ^^;

Ambo-tencho said apparently his mother is now a big Minorin fan: Cooking while dancing to Freedom Dreamer… ^^;;;;; Ambo-tencho himself event joined m.s.s!! lololol.

Ambo-tencho said there’s someone he brought along from Kazuno-shi, city mascot Tanpo Komachi-chan!! (this surprisingly-huge thing even tweets!) to hand a surprise present to Minorin: special gold city-membership thing ^^; Card #20,000-ish are awarded to famous people, Minorin got #20,002!! Idgi but congrats! Ambo-tencho thanked us then left the stage…

…but Tanpo-chan stayed?! Eeeh, it’s someone from Team Minorin?! While “it” went backstage to take costume off, Minorin guessed it’s her cute manager Maririn *quickly cross fingers* but it turned out to be… Lantis Saito-P!!! ROFL such a well-respected person wearing that thing… xD

Moving on to next segment: Best Coupling Songs!
Side-B tracks (other than title song in a single) based on FC-members-only voting sometime ago (1 person only chose 1 song). Saito-P, Senorin, and Minorin on stage, announcing and commenting one by one up until #4. On each notice, rather than claps there were more disappointed “Aah~orz” from voters lol.

Despite newly-released, this is the new flag song after 2 years of Lush March. Minorin joked one day she’ll have “flag-song-only” live. xD Refer to SC2 report for flag-waving instruction.

Live corner usually has 5 songs, so she performed Peace of mind here! First time hearing live, such a sweet song. ^^

2. Ai to Knife (PreOne c/w)
THE winning formula of fast-beat + strong voice.. imo this is actually better than Precious One ^^; Great I finally get to hear this live! The theme color lights: RED!

Next “insert” song… Yuuki no Kodou!! Wooaaah out of seven remaining songs Minorin just had to perform MY vote!! <3 Another first time hearing it live… finally… such a powerful song.. *moved deeply* ;___;

1. Sunshine Flower (TomoChance c/w)
Not surprising with Summer Camp 2 effect. Bright summer song befitting Minorin’s cheerful personality. This is why most people prepared yellow lights. :3 For 5 minutes, regardless how cold outside, for 5 minutes it was summer inside Zepp Tokyo!

Live is over (it started to get smelly >_>). Senorin joined on stage to introduce video letter from someone special! Last year it was her Anisama duet partner Hocchan (never heard about her from Minorin anymore, are they still friends lol). This year it was… w-what, Sugita Tomokazu!!

Being the usual crackhead, it was hilarious. Recalling his first meeting with Minorin, Sugitomo honestly thought 茅原実里 was read “Kayahara Misato” LOL which is a valid kanji-reading but srsly LOL. He also thinks Minorin is a kind-hearted person, because she’s always the first one to cry in backstage after an event finished ^^;;;;; The rest was totally incoherent, Sugitomo-style. xD

Lastly, important announcements!!
1. Christmas event in Universal Studio (Osaka, Dec 25)
2. CD single double-release on Feb 9 next year
3. All-Japan Zepp Tour from Feb 12 (details here)
I definitely couldn’t go to Christmas event for various reasons (other than real life thing xD). Zepp Tour isn’t such a good news too, all free-standing live… with 1-2% girls is gonna be hell. Sendai/Nagoya sound do-able, but Sapporo is quite tempting, being final live and I personally have been wanting to visit Hokkaido, but meh, bad timing for a long trip. Couldn’t decide now. >_<

With this, stage event is done… time flew, it was already 8.30pm! Moving on to why Fanclub events are special.. meeting Minorin up close!! Last year it was handshake, but this year it’s handing over Moe Minori!! Since everyone was given like 1.5 seconds, I quickly (awkwardly) uttered “Happy Birthday“.. ^^;; Yes I get cold feet near pretty girls, got a problem? xD

300 grams of Moe Minori!! Special event edition.

Yes I *will* eat Moe Minori. If there’s anything I learned from the event is to appreciate food. =) Haven’t decided how though. My cooking is edible but.. uh, just edible. XD At the very least I want to make something from scratch. I’ll tweet/post if I ever make something presentable or not die from food-poisoning. xD Oh well.

First, I totally forgot about announcements during the live.

1. Sing All Love Live Photobook out October 27. Another super thick, super heavy book full of pretty photos of Minorin & staff during the long tour! Cost 3,150 yen according to stores ads.. no online orders yet.

2. Sing All Love Bluray and DVD out November! Now this I really look forward to~ I hope they include all Minorin-medley that kept changing throughout the tour…

Back to Summer Camp goods, there weren’t many variations, so it wasn’t a strong blow lol.

I arrived in Kawaguchiko about 9 am. There were A LOT of people already, though the booth was supposed to open at noon. The weather was like 100 degrees Celcius or sth. I hate queuing in summer. >_>;;

People in front of me. This actually equals to extra 3 hours since the booth was fairly small. -_-

The people BEHIND me about 1 pm… good luck lol.

On to the details~~

Had dilemma which to choose one T-shirt. I prefer A’s light blue color, but B has better design… I initially only bought B, before I saw Minorin wearing A in encore… so got that too. Well I needed a live shirt for Day 2.. *in denial*

Back part. Here A wins for having a burning heart lol.

Standard muffler towel~ For some reasons I really like this year’s color.

And this, is a NICE cap, that “Minori Chihara Live 2010″ print is barely readable, so it’s usable in daily life lol.

Summer Camp 2 flag. Minorin’s signature item that will make you feel guilty if you don’t wave the new one during a flag song .___.

Only got the Freedom Blue penlight since it’s a special color.

Reversible vinyl bag I was forced to buy since my bag was small. Adding a rope doesn’t make it right to put a price tag on a plastic bag! It should be free! ;__;

Special amusement corner: Minorikuru! which is a gachapon corner. That’s the list of the items.. Nothing I particularly want, but I gave it a try anyway just for fun.

What I got. Keeping a capsule since it’s Summer Camp blue ^_^
1) Black glove (left-only… lol) which is apparently the most common item.. glad I only got one.
2) Hand towel that works wonders to clean glasses, for some reasons..
3) White wristband, nice! My favorite~
4) Summer Camp logo stamp. I wonder if I can use this as inkan lol. Maybe next time when the postman comes lol.

Freedom Dreamer B2 promo poster for 2000 yen worth of CD I didn’t need. I think I got one of the Haruhi thing since it cost exactly 2k. :-/

If I can only get one thing..

…it would be this Ittousei CD, specially released for the event. Okay I ended up getting three, but that’s because it was limited to 3 /person, so I must get 3!! …yes I know that’s a strange reasoning. xD One to listen to, one to keep in mint condition.. and another one… errr, just because I can. Mwahaha.

The CD contains 2 songs and their instrumental tracks. 一等星 (Ittousei) (lit. First-magnitude star) was a song that Minorin composed herself with her guitar on one starry night. The CD version is revised with full instruments and all.. I kinda want the acoustic one instead, oh well.

I initially thought c/w SUMMER FESTIVAL ~Minorin Samba~ was just a filler, but nothing fits Minorin’s personality more than this awesome song! Wait until you see the aloha dance! xD The epic level is rivaling Jellybeans I think, lol. I wish Minorin will sing this song in in winter too!

PS. I understand this CD is very limited, but I don’t want people coming here to look for DLs.. so I won’t upload it. Well it’s already up somewhere anyway. Sorry! m(_ _)m

Things I didn’t buy because money don’t grow on trees.

1) Aloha shirt.. Nana’s baseball uniform burned a hole on my wallet so I decided to skip something I will never wear like this.. and tbh only Minorin looked nice on it, nice touch to her bright sunny smile~ ♥
2) Folding fan.. if that handwriting looks familiar, that’s because Minorin wrote that. This could make a nice decoration, only if it doesn’t cost 1,5k..

Minorimochi!!! Have I ever mentioned I hate sweet stuff? ^^; This is my friend’s.. He kindly shared one for me to try! That was one weird breakfast of watermelon and mochi lol.

3 mochi in a serve.. it could be nice if it didn’t taste like a lump of SUGAR. I struggled trying to finish that.

Chihara Minori’s SUMMER CAMP 2 was more than just another concert! Two days in Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater on the feet of Mount Fuji! Since it was pretty far, me and a bunch of friends spent 2 nights in a cottage there. Definitely felt like a real summer camp~~~ ^_^

First, live report!

Opening.
Announcement from staff, briefly explaining live regulations though we already got the paper. Minorinfags are kinda dangerous? lol. Soon after, Minorin walked in with (Costume 1) bright & colorful, kinda-ugly off-shoulder top and shorts… similar feel to Freedom Dreamer PV.

1. Freedom Dreamer
Opening with her energetic latest single! Loved “Everybody jump!” part where everybody actually jumped… Also “Wo~oh” and “Yeah” calls, and especially “Kimi no egao” and “Kimi no yuuki” calls!! This is totally a live song. Tho it was the first public performance (well after Music Japan), but as expected, perfect otagei. ^_^

Briefly welcomes us to Summer Camp 2. The weather was good and sunny in both days… which brought us to the “hare onna / sunny girl” joke that goes as far as year 2006, but recently relived during Freedom Dreamer PV shooting, and aired on Music Japan just the week before.

Introducing each band members: Gan-chan (drum), Dai-chan (guitar), Dai-sensei (violin), Kenny (keyboard), and Naoyan (bass). It’s the first Summer Camp for Dai-chan.

(Costume 2) Minorin put on the infamous blue happi coat and big festival fan that was a hit amongst FC member. Best part in Day 2, she playfully waved the fan to us, then everyone went “wheeee~~” kinda like Yukarin’s Melon feel. ^^;;

Here comes the reason why SUMMER CAMP is better than Minorin’s normal live (that is, for hardcore fans)… it’s the Special Festival Corner!! Minorin chose her old songs or other people’s songs she wants to sing. This might be eliminated in the BD/DVD later, just like last year. Also the only segment that differs the 2 days. Short MC between songs.

5. マリオネット (Marionette)
KITTAAAAA~~~~ A song from her debut album before Lantis, “Heroine“. Last year she already sung my top 2 faves: jellybeans and Majokko Megu-chan… so no hope for repeats. ;__;  well, Marionette ranks 3rd so it was still awsm!

6. 桜舞うこの約束の地で (Sakura mau kono yakusoku no chi de)
Minorin received plenty emails saying they really LOVE this specific insert song. Somehow I knew it since it’s definitely my favorite too! I’ve heard it in Minorin’s birthday last year, but this song is just too nice!! Please remix this one day for the album xD

7. ultra soul
Just like last year, B’z fangirl Minorin covered a B’z song!! It’s actually a very nice song, I immediately loved it tho I’ve never heard it before. Lol @ “ultra soul” chant.

5. 負けない ～一途バージョン～ (Makenai~Ichizu ver.~)
Started with Minorin’s debut single, ED for Tenjou Tenge OAV. Slow but nice.

6. Be Together
Minorin said it’s related to her “new anime”… oooh crap I haven’t been watching anime for like a year lol. It’s Occult Academy tie-in, tho actually it’s a cover from a 90s song. Not bad.

7. 経験値上昇中☆ (Keikenchi joushouchuu)
Minorin said she had been wanting to do this… then suddenly her voice changed to a familiar tone… “SUMMER CAMP 2, kono bakayarroouuuuu~~!” and Stellar Theater literally exploded! Best Minami-ke song ever, performed LIVE!! I was crying tears of joy ;__; Should I be surprised that most fans did the proper otagei calls? “Sou deshou!!“

Short band show then Minorin is back with (Costume 3) bright red strapless mini dress. What’s with Minorin and her bare shoulders lately? I think that look kinda make her look rounder, because she’s *cough* nicely developed *cough*..

I think I’ve said it before that Contact songs kinda sound the same haha. I was still excited over the special corners, but still nice to hear songs I haven’t heard live before.

Now this is a good Contact song, tho lyrics totally don’t make sense. Under the moonlight, lovers meet Cynthia~ ♪

OOOOOH, NEW FLAG SONG!!! If Nana has her towel songs, Minorin has these fun flag-waving routine!! Lush March was the pioneer, which got overly popular amongst her otagei-crazed fans. Must be good news for them, since Minorin can permanently force people to buy 500 yen concert-special flag in every live!

New flag song is from Freedom Dreamer single: Best mark smile. Minorin-sensei taught us the flag routine by herself! Dunno if this will make sense, but here goes my attempt to explain it. Sorry you only get Danie-sensei… m(_ _)m Clip of just the flag part.

Many fans already guessed it’s a new flag song, since the lyrics kinda gave it away (“put up your victory flag”). Difficulty increased compared to Lush March.. but it’s still easy enough for everyone. I just realized I was present in both flag first-lessons: Parade Day 1 and this, haha. And LOL @ the loud “JYAN!!” after each practice.. Minorin couldn’t help to laugh too.. xD The “lesson” was unnecessarily repeated again and again haha.

As the familiar intro started playing, Minorin walked up the stairs in (Costume 4) black top, orange mini-skirt, very Tomorrow’s chance~~ ♪ She made a round on the gap between 1F-2F, walking! (red line) She stopped in a stair-like mini-stage to sing 1 chorus on left & right side (black spots).. in the middle of everyone! Really a voyager train ^_^

13. 詩人の旅 (Shijin no Tabi)
Without Contact prelude to begin, it was like a sudden explosion. Very nice!

14. Paradise Lost -at next nest-
And the hall turned red! It’s clearly fan-favorite. I remember listening to it every single day on my way to work to wake me up lol.

15. Final Moratorium
Moratorium green lights~!! Somehow I see its similarity to Nana’s NEXT ARCADIA. Futuristic, super energetic, and works awesomely with fire skits!

Can say it’s the Summer Camp theme song, I shoulda known that and didn’t forget to buy yellow lights T__T well green did okay.. Love the fun solo instrument while Minorin danced near them. And the lalalala together at the end was sweet.

(Costume 5) Live goods T-shirt A + Aloha shirt + white skirt. Most importantly, big white flower on Minorin’s head… very Hawaiian~! All band members wore T-shirt B + Aloha shirt. What a good way to promote that overpriced 5,000 yen shirt.

19. SUMMER CARNIVAL ～みのりんサンバ～ (Minorin Samba)
OMG THIS IS THE BEST EVER!!! Minorin and all her band members did this stupid aloha dance that was hilariously stupid and FUN! All fans also tried to follow the dance ^_^ Day 2 was super special, extra dancers: staff~!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes, Minorin made her managers, producers, Lantis staff.. all those stiff office workers danced!!! BLURAY NAU PLOX! Definitely #1 highlight of this concert!!!

Minorin explained the samba history. She was thinking what special thing to do in Summer Camp 2 and could be put into Ittousei CD….. and just like that, “I feel like samba” HAHA. Saito P approved so there goes. She thanked her band members and staff for the dance, and interviewed the old-men band. Gan-chan was like, “I wanna die.” LMAO other band members were okay tho. ^^; Minorin said how she wants to do this again, and a girl shouted “ANISAMA! XD” lolol Minorin heard that and replied, “Anisama? That’s kinda….” lolololol.

Yep, it’s time to turn white…. Minorin let us sing one full verse. Nice to know after so many songs, this still holds an important spot in fans’ hearts.

(Costume 6) Blue yukata that she wore for many on-site promotions. Minorin looked SO adorable omgomg my nose. Wheeeee double encore!! WHEEE YUKATA!!!　Σ(´д｀*) sooo adorable~~

~~ Ending ~ Fireworks

Summer festival isn’t complete without massive fireworks. Photo from Minorin’s staff diary. I saw them clearly on Day 1 (seat 1F).. but only half of Day 2 (seat 2F).. but anyway it’s the summer dream of everyone there to watch fireworks with Minorin ^_^

The concert really ended with Minorin’s direct message to us (without mic). After everyone gets quiet, she shouted, “Minna-san, DAAAAAAAIIISUKIII~~~~~” WHOOOOOO ♥♥ we love you too, Minorin!

Misc.
* If I have to describe a Minorin live.. it won’t be “epic”, but “enjoyable”. Very entertaining MC (airheads FTW!! xD).. also loved how she replied to people’s shouts.. somehow feels more personal. Everyone had real fun and went home with a wide smile.

* Minorin said all her family attended Summer Camp 2. I did see people who sat near the staff, not exactly on the seating chart.. also no-otagei is so VIP lol. However, someone wasn’t so ordinary.. a man on his 50s, wearing all live goods, waving flag/penlight crazily… I srsly think it’s Minorin’s dad! I heard rumors that daddy is Minorin’s #1 fan lolol I guess it’s true? ^^
