seiyuu3 told me about the “rumour” going on few days ago, that Madobe Nanami (lit. Nana Mizuki who raped my wallet by the Windows) is going to release a debut CD single packed with a new model of Windows 7. I told him I’m so going to cry if that’s real because well, who the heck needs TWO Windows 7? Gosh I could have gotten mine for free from my workplace!

The Akiba shop website soon took the news down, so I had a long sigh of relief…… NOT.

IT’S ACTUALLY TRUE. ヽ(#`Д´)ﾉ

The package is called “Happy Windows 7 Campaign Limited Premium Set” and it includes a Windows 7, a bonus USB (lolwtf), and of course the glory CD with ONE song titled「七色ジェネレータ」(Nanairo Generator / Seven Colors Generator, wuteva). The set is limited to 77,777 purchasers again.

Lyrics by Furuya Makoto (Polaris) and composition by Watabe Miki (PRIDE OF GLORY) combo do look promising and all, and knowing our beloved Nana she’ll just forget that this is a character song and sing as awesome as usual.

Sigh I knew this is going to happen sooner or later but orz. No I’m not buying another Windows 7, but I will have my ways to get the CD. …tho either way my wallet is crying.

I feel the need to worship talk about Yukarin after her mad antics: giving her fans some REAL fun via her Twitter account. Yukarin banzai~!

At first I didn’t notice about this “official event” only until halfway. Her tweets was flooding my gadget, so I took some time to read what she’s actually doing.. *gasp*

A late night DVD/BD-watching event!

About midnight on March 7th, Yukarin tweeted that she feels like watching last year’s concert Dreamy Maple Crown DVD, and asked if any of her 33,000 followers want to join in to watch together. She then created a tag #yukarin_dmc for the event, also set a start time for everyone to punch the ‘play’ button together. We used this online clock per her order.

The tag got over 100 new updates every 5 seconds or something. ^^; After figuring out which song they are at now from the tweets, I quickly joined in with my BD. ;A; 10 minutes toilet break when BD-people needed to wait for DVD-people to change disc. After the concert ended, Yukarin also got us watching the Making too… the DMC event finally ended at 4.38 AM (or 6.38 AM my room time orz).

The comments from fans and especially Yukari-hime herself are hilarious. I translated (badly) some of the most memorable ones. Time links to the tweet. No idea how to screencap BD so yeah.

Complete normal set of 7 standard cards. Please don’t remind me of the rare card (which is a shiny Nana-sensei FFF–).  The odds are really much harder this time, compared to how I easy I obtained 2 full sets in Live Diamond last year, including the rare one.

Gosh my life would be easier if I could just tag them.

There aren’t that many goods this time, and the price makes more sense too. Now I’m really convinced that Fever Goods last year was just a money-sucking activity to fund Seibu Dome rent.

Lemme start with the ‘fun’ part: queuing for the goods.

Lesson 1 @ Fukuoka
I arrived at 7am, after getting a nice hot coffee. The weather was under 5 degree.

The brave people who arrived before 6.

The rest of the people. Dunno where the line ended.

The booth opened at 12.30pm. Done my shopping about half an hour later. Lol guy in black jacket drooling at the framed calendars.

Lesson 2 @ Niihama
Arrived at 5am this time, though the weather was under 0 degree. -_-;

I LOVED how Niihama was really boring that Nana’s live was such a big deal --the city tourism people put signs on street trees.

Welcome home, Nana! 800 m until the live hall.
Thanks to the 2-months Kouhaku campaign, I srsly had Nana’s voice in my head saying 「ライブ会場まで、あと８００m ♥」… or maybe it was the brain freeze causing a temporary schizophrenia.

Click for signs from 1200m away to the destination. The ones without number were to change directions (左 left or 右 right). The last one said “it’s just there!” which was really the last tree next to the hall.

There should be more since it started from the station. After queuing I was too tired to walk back and check, and they were removed after the concert. Oh well.

The best was the one near a traffic light, because a car stopped and the driver had this funny look (”why the F is this girl taking photos of a tree while grinning at 4 am?!”)

Cold dark dawn that would go well with a nice warm bed. But at the bright side, there were only about 10-15 guys, and I was (finally) the first girl in line!

Staff arrived about 8am to make sure the queue was okay. The big red truck carrying all the Nana goods arrived at 10am with more staffs to set things up.

FC ads with this cruel English info attached. ^^; Cruel because this shows they know we exist, but couldn’t care less lazy and/or their Engrish sucks barrs. Sending FC books overseas just needs more shipping money that none of us would mind, right? I overheard some Japanese said “It must be hard for the foreigners.” …you have no idea. D=

A bunch of frozen people. Ignore the Japs shaky ramblings lol. People standing in parking lot left their bags in queue to enjoy the sunshine.

Funny moments when locals were passing by --some, especially the elderly, stopped and asked what was actually happening. xD

They finally let us in at 1pm sharp. So I survived 8 freaking hours! Makes the goods more valuable than they actually are.

The booth looked the same with Fukuoka’s, just slightly smaller. But Niihama got much nicer stuff:

Surprisingly-very-useful goods.

..also the most expensive item, but it was really useful. Many compartments. I used this until the end of my trip. What if it gets dirty? I’ve prepared a waterproof rucksack cover to protect it during rainy days. xD

Shirts (+ towel)

Front sides.
- Shirt A: looked best on paper, before I realized the things written are the 4 Engrish motto thing lol.
- Shirt B: my favourite. Shiny logo in full glory.
- Shirt C: just because it’s nm7 I honestly thought Nana would wear it on encore. She didn’t.

Back sides.
- Shirt A: looking artsy, listing the lesson dates and venues.
- Shirt B: Gosh how many times do they want to put those Engrish phrases in?
- Shirt C: listing the lesson dates and venues that you can actually read.

Other goods.

- Penlight.
- Totally useless straps. Might look good on the bag, but can’t risk it getting lost D:
- Wristband A (red) and B (blue). I have a thing on these so it’s a good buy.

- The most expensive necktie ever. But the fabric was really nice and Nana wore it on the encore.
- Cap which I actually use.
- Bonus 2 pins that came with the cap. Looks better on Shirt C rather than the cap.

Special goods: Curry Senbei.

Curry-flavored rice cracker with Nanette decor. Ten in a box. Most people bought at least 2 boxes --one to eat and one to be kept rotten. I didn’t, so I’ll never know how it tastes like.

Nanaca!!

You get one card for every item bought. There are 7 different types and 1 rare card.
Might be reason why the postcards were sold out; it was the cheapest item on the list and people just want the extra Nanaca.

I got all 7 of the normal set, but not the rare card (which is school-nurse Nana ffff--).. and sew freakin’ many extras of the schoolgirl Nana.

Venue-limited goods!

So yeah on my last day in Japan, I went to Makkun’s i-magination live in Osaka. My very first Makkun’s concert! It was held in Umeda AKASO, a small live house near Umeda station that made me ask for direction 10x before giving up and google-map it on an internet cafe. ^^;

I can’t think of who would be interested in reading this report other than omo, but anyway writing it~ xD

There should be about 600 people in the free-standing live. I thought I was so lucky for getting an entry number #6 which usually means front row …….but apparently there were 150 FC, 100 class A, and 100 class B tickets before the normal number. So mine’s actually #356 orz.

It only took 30 mins to let everyone in. Makkun’s new album i-magination was playing during the waiting. I spent the time observing her fans, who mostly wore Makkun’s old live shirts or Jam’s. As expected most of them are NOT young. I’m sure I was one of the youngest ^^;

At 6pm sharp, the live begun.

Makkun started appropiately with the album opening Starting Over, followed by energetic Wagamama no Cho. Damn I’m SO amazed how she looks younger and younger every time I see her. ^^;

After briefly welcoming us to the live tour, she sang the first “old song”, Shu-AKA-.

I’m impressed with how close Makkun is to her loyal fans (those who keep coming to her live). She calls them veteran, and she does recognise them, pointing to some and said “ah, you again!” ^^;

Makkun also asked if there’s any first-timers, and very few (including me) responded. She was quite surprised lol. It really felt more like an old school reunion, with warm welcome to new people (or old fans who just had the chance to go *cough*).

Band intro made me giggle. Makkun’s band members are all young bishonen, as opposed to Nana’s uncle group. I recognised Macaroni☆ rightaway cos he’s really cute THE Animelo guitarist. The other guitarist IMAJO is one of Psychic Lover. Bass Tabokun looks more girly than Makkun ^^; and there’s Jun (keyboardist) and Kyoichi Sato (drum).

4 songs from the new album followed. I particularly like Pure DIAMOND. Makkun said that Jounetsu no Cantare was a song for her female fans. Surprisingly there were quite many of them –two exhibits stood in front of me lol.

When the intro to Koishimasho Nebarimasho started, I screamed my lung out. ;A; Freaking awsm!! One thing about Makkun’s concert is that the older the song is, the fans get crazier.

The surprise got much better with Futari. Srsly ancient from 2nd album V-sit. The last time she performed it was… 14 years ago? I was like 7 lol.

Futari started the ballad section, since she followed with an equally sad Regret from the new album. For some weird reasons I love Makkun’s slower ballad more than her rocker side. I’d cry if she sings Wasuregusa.

During the MC, Makkun said she did lots of cover songs. The moment she mentioned Masami Kobushi album, we screamed like crazy. ^^; Apparently she just wanted to promote Self Satisfaction, a cover album of songs she wrote for others. Aww no Cutie Honey for me. T__T She then did Fuyu no Himawari from the album.

HAPPY PLACE was definitely a fan favourite. ♥

Another self plug for Gundam tribute from Lantis album, before performing DREAMS (Gundam X OP). Almost made me want to get the CD, but hey it was my last day, I’d be surprised if I still have enough cash.

Towel song was Never die!!! Kyaa. I was expecting Shuffle, but Never die was totally fun.

Closed the setlist with Divine Love, a cover from JAM Project song which she also composed.

After a short encore break, Makkun performed the best ballad of the day: Flower. At one point, the song brought tears to Makkun’s eyes… and actually to the big guy next to me too. ^^;

The 2nd encore started with MC session of each band member.
- Macaroni☆ was looking for a wife, so Makkun asked if anyone in the crowd wants to marry him. Surprisingly(?) some male fans responded! Makkun went LOL on stage.
- Tadakun got loud cheers, mostly guys shouting “kawaii yo!” .. understandable, really.
- It was Jun’s birthday! Makkun and everyone sang Happy Birthday to him ♪ though only me pronounced it properly *runs*

Megami ni Naritai was another great choice, but Key was totally an unexpected nostalgic song from 5th album Her-Day. The concert really ended with THE ultimate Makkun song: Rinbu Revolution. Finally I got to hear the full original version, better than the Minorin duet one lol.

There were only 3 different live goods. THREE. Makes me wonder, when will Nana make me save this much money? I guess never with her 25 types of goods orz.

I got the pink limited shirt, cos the blue one sold out. ^^;

All in all I was really happy with my first Makkun experience. Will definitely go again if I have the chance.

Let’s start with Niihama City Culture Center front building! No people since this was about 9 am? The queue was on the other side.

Its Big Hall’s layout was very similar to Fukuoka Convention Hall. My seat was similar to the Fukuoka’s one too, but on the right stairs.

And like Fukuoka, the show started 20 mins late. The good thing is the hall was much cooler than Fukuoka.

Refer to Lesson 1 report for detailed costumes. I’ll try not to repeat similar stuff and focus on MC.

The only real Niihama people might be just her and invited guests in the VIP room.

Nana said that Holy Mary Kondou-mama is watching from the VIP room above. Not enough lights to see anything but a silhouette from where I sat.. but a friend told me she looked early 50s with no white hair. I believe Kondou-mama should be at least late 50s, she just ages fairly well like most Asian women.

Nana was really touched when she first arrived in Niihama station and saw the board sign (made by the city tourism center) about her live. It’s up on her blog. There were many signs leading to the hall, but let me save those pics for a Niihama post. xD

Nana also informs us that she got chosen to become Niihama’s tourism ambassador. Most of us already knew from NANA PARTY, but well.. BANZAI, BANZAI, BANZAI~!!

I got the Fukuoka encore route map wrong, she came from the right exit, then down to the left stairs. I was on the left side so couldn’t care less see whatever happened on the right. Fixed the pic.

In Niihama, it was the other way around. She went in from the left exit, then down to the RIGHT stairs, where my seat was. Damn I might win millions if I use this luck in betting.

Niihama’s special service was unbelivable, Nana high-fived the fans’ hands along the way… I don’t think this ever happened before in any previous (recorded) Nana lives. Festa 2007’s POWER GATE and last week’s encore were very close, but no skinship. WHATEVER I GOT A HIGH FIVE TOO!@!#!@#! ( ;A; ). Yes I shed some happy tears. Never been this grateful being alive.

23. STORIES - still trying to sink the reality in.

Live Academy Lesson 2 in Niihama gets into Bluray and DVD~!!!! BANZAI, BANZAI, BANZAI~! It was a really pleasant surprise, after the whole Diamond thing, she went back to earth and have the smallest tour leg for the next release.

24. TRANSMIGRATION - a bit surprised this wasn’t changed, but yay!

* ENDING - Zettai ni kakatte koi~~!!

Super Generation instrumental track plays. In Fukuoka, fans cheered and she sang one verse.. but Niihama was one step ahead: we sang Supagen together before she did. It brought tears to Nana’s eyes, and she sang a full chorus.

Comes the 7 signed balls~ Nana said she already practiced lacrosse, so she confidently threw the first ball. It went up high.. and fell into row 3. lmfao. But she did practice, since the remaining balls went into row 10-15. I missed my chance by 1 row, but oh well too happy to care.

* ENDING #2 - As expected, Niihama got a REALLY special treatment. Nana went back in wearing a sash saying “Niihama Tourism Ambassador” and a certificate plaque.

Nana showed her brand-new name card related to the ambassador biz, which initiated “I WANTTT” shouts… and Nana cunningly told us to ask the city mayor for those, pointing that he’s in VIP room.

We ended up chanting “SHICHOU! SHICHOU!” (mayor) for a minute or so. Too bad we can’t really see the mayor’s reaction, he was probably WTF-ing up there. ^^;

After the crowd calmed down, Nana mentioned her very first job when she was a 1st-year middle-schooler, a casette with an enka song called Tsugazakura. She was surprised that most fans know this song (duh). Some guys shouted that they have the casette. I also regard this as the ultimate Nana item, tho I still can’t afford it.. yet. xD

But the hall rocked when Nana said she wants to sing that, here.

25. Niihama Special Song - Itaruvic was called in for an ACOUSTIC VERSION OF TSUGAZAKURA. That. Was. Unbelievable. She only sang a shortened version, but what can I say: it’s Nana, singing enka, acoustically, and her first own song ever. Her voice had matured a lot since, well, 17 years ago. I believe some fans naturally cried.

The concert really ended with another kakatte koi shout~!

BEST CONCERT EVER.

After the concert, lots of people still lingering around. Somehow I joined a conversation with a group of Japanese fans, who were very amazed  that there were some foreign nutcase who managed to get there. I met a Singaporean fanboy, a HK fangirl, and a Taiwanese fangirl. Crazy fangirls outnumber fanboys woohoo. ^^; Which is kinda awsm since there might be just about 50 girls out of 1,156 people.

Anyway, gonna get some rest now. I dunno when I can get my normal face back, been grinning for the past 6 hours. At least I don’t sniff my left hand anymore. *runs*

Fukuoka Convention Center was great, each row is elevated (like in cinema) and the stage is REALLY close. I was on row 12, just next to the left stairs. Clear view all the time.

After waiting for 20 mins, the live finally started.

MOVIE - Was kinda lol since the hall doesn’t have a screen. So they projected the movie to the stage curtains. It started with Nana checking up herself on the mirror.. ready to go to school! She walked out of the house, down the road, and arrived at a big gate with LIVE ACADEMY logo on it..

* Costume 1 - School girl with navy-blue jacket, checkered skirt. Similar to the promo poster, except the ribbon is red. This was a surprise, since I don’t recall Nana ever wearing her promo costumes before.

2. You have a dream - Unlike Fighter, this had THE DANCE, in a school girl costume, no less. Tops Universe’s pink maid.

* Costume 2 - just took off the school jacket, reveals a white tank top + red ribbon.

3. DISCOTHEQUE - Glad this came early. Churu-churu-churu-payappa~!

MC - Saying stuff about coming back to Fukuoka after a long time, fans responded with many “okaeri” shouts, which was inappropiate since most of us weren’t Fukuoka people. I’m not even from the country lol. Properly opened LIVE ACADEMY 2010 tour.

4. Mr. Bunny! - Finally, the only song left from UD album that hasn’t been sung live (let’s forget ray of change). The dance was UBER CUTE. The hall got really hot, so I started nosebleeding a bit… it was the temperature, not that I’m a pervert.. *runs*

5. フリースタイル (Freestyle) - I looped its Formula clip when queuing, so I couldn’t believe myself when the intro started.. I get to see this cuuuute dance xD

6. COSMIC LOVE - Amai chocolate mitai, hitorijimeshitaa~i.. a Valentine song indeed.

CHERRY BOYS - Itaruvic (guitar), Kenny (guitar), and Ryutan (bass) sang 2 songs I don’t really know. Intro to members: Tom-kun (keyboard), Ma-chin (drum), Yutapon (drum), and Fire (sax). Yutapon is back kyaaa~

* Costume 3 - Gothic rock, long, dark purple gown..

7. UNCHAIN∞WORLD - Way more powerful than I thought.

8. Don’t be long - Still don’t like it, but was acceptable live.

9. 夢幻 (Mugen) - Not half as bad as I thought, though fans’ response was rather lackluster. Somehow I ended up using white light instead of red lol.

MC - The gown initiated “mawatte” calls, but Nana refused to turn around, with a very good excuse: that the best costume has yet to come. Well, Nana-sensei, if you say so. xD She then excused herself to take off the large gown cos it’s damn hot.

* Costume 4 - Still rockish with white long-sleeves Victorian top + dark purple skirt. This was inside the gown, no wonder she felt hot.

MC -cont’d- Kouhaku talk, but rather than the usual “it’s my dream” crap, it was more about stalking “Sachiko-sama” (lol why am I thinking Marimite). Goes on to thanking fans’ support, then as expected, there comes..

10. 深愛 (Shin’ai) - ..this very special song. Splendid.

11. PHANTOM MINDS - Nobody is confused anymore in otagei-ing to this song.

TEAM YODA - They rushed to stage in white nurse costumes! Only 4 dancers, all familiar faces: Mika, Shizuka, Yumeko, and Anna. Everyone went crazy, cos it’s a hint of what Nana will wear next.

* Costume 5… PINK NURSE COSTUME. PINK. NURSE. ARGH. *dead*

12. Dear Dream - As good to otagei as everrrr!!! Actually whatever as long as the nurse thing stays.

MC - Nana seemed happier than us for this nurse troll. Then it’s mawatte time. Twice. Life’s good yeah. xD

Then comes the tour special: random song taken from a lottery box. Something like Universe, but instead of Nana-related anime’s OP/ED, it’s her own character song.

13. POWDER SNOW - White Album fans, rejoice. Would even be nicer if she sings Suara’s slower version, but I’m not complaining.

MC - Time for towel song! Since it’s a rather nostalgic song, Hisayo-sensei (ex-Team Yoda) was called to teach us how. There were about 4 types of movement.

14. JUMP! - 700% much nicer than Brand New Tops.

15. POWER GATE - the compulsory song, but always enjoyable.

* Costume 6 - Yellow gown, inspired from Canaria flower.

16. 天空のカナリア (Tenkuu no Canaria) - LOVE this, especially with a real violinist.

17. Silent Bible - Much, much better live. Well after hearing it on about every store I went to, I’m brainwashed.

MC - Introduced a new Cheery Boys member… the FEMALE violinist! lolol, not all oyaji band anymore. Cute girl named Amemiya Mami, nicknamed Mamimami~! Got really loud cheers, obviously.

Talked about the Nanoha game, she’s surprised most fans had finished it, cos she’s still way behind. Hinting that she plays it hence we all should buy it. At least I know who to blame if I suddenly go home with this…

Also talked about the MOVIE 1st. Funny when she asked who has watched it, since obviously most did. The question should be “how many times” ^^; She said she wants to do A’s the MOVIE too. Speaking about A’s, it’s..

18. ETERNAL BLAZE - the ultimate religious song for Nanaism followers. This actually marked the 7th time I witnessed this greatness live. Nanatard level up? ( ;A; )

19. Pray - perfect follow-up.

* Costume 7 - yellow-ish dance-routine costume.

But I really couldn’t believe my ears when I heard the coming intro..

20. Inside of mind - Woooot!!!! I thought it’s impossible to see this live. Did I mention I’m totally crazy about the dance? This was last performed long time ago, so yeaaaah.

21. Gimmick Game - diet diet diet.

* ENCORE - It was weird, she just ran inside, then the stage lights went off, Cherry Boys left the stage.. so the concert finished without an annoucement lol. Well in few seconds the “ENCORE” shouts started anyway.. which somehow changed to “NANA-CHAN” shouts. ^^;

* Costume 8 - school girl with black top (staff shirt), necktie (goods), and red chekered skirt.

22. Song Communication - Only Cherry Boys and Team Yoda re-entered the stage.. but I heard Nana started singing, not sure from wher—–WTTTFFFF SHE WALKED AROUND THE SEATS!!!@#!! Went up the right stairs.. passed the back walkway, and down the stairs… towards my direction.

She passed me, reaaaaaally close, since the walkway was less than 1m wide. When I caught her eyes, her smile, even her subtle wrinkles.. my heart literally skipped a few beats. That was a godsent miracle on Valentine’s Day. ♥

24. TRANSMIGRATION - totally unexpected, totally amazing, totally blew me away. I don’t know where I got the energy to jump (lol STORIES?) but I did anyway.

ENDING - Nana got 7 signed balls to be thrown with a lacrosse stick. Apparently the furthest she could go was about row 8, no hope for the upper part. ^^; Oh well. After countless “arigatou”, Nana ran backstage.. but the hall were still dark. Automatically everyone chanted “once more!”..

ENDING #2 - Valentine’s Day special~! 7 signed chocolate boxes from Nana, which ended up like the balls -nowhere near me. Amusingly I wasn’t sad at all, instead I was grateful with the extra 5 Nana-minutes. xD

The whole thing lasted about 3 hours, but the experience will last forever. I have Song Communication looping on my head until now. This trip was worth every single cent. Happy Valentine’s Day, Nana-chan. ;A;
