Kouhaku-related News Part 2: Who’s that molester?
I epicly fell asleep and missed half of the Kouhaku Complete Guide lol. Apparently Nana was one of the hosts! She wore a cute strapless dress, sitting in a kotatsu with 4 other hosts (Sekine Mari out reporting from other places).
Don’t ask me who the other 4 hosts were, tho I think they’re famous lol: the weird Kouhaku PR guy (Itou something), dunno-who #1 (girl), dunno-who #2 (guy), and one creepy gay-looking obaba who used every single chance to touch Nana. I’m not (really) delusional.
J-music fans, please enlighten me so I can bash her properly.
Mystery solved! Nana posted on her blog today that “Kobayashi Sachiko-san” gave her reassuring advice that pumped her fighting spirit for tonight.. .___. She’s an enka singer apparently, also famous for wearing ridiculous stuff for Kouhaku. Lady Gaga alert? Go away from Nana. xD
About the show itself, I missed 90% of the artist introduction (can’t remember the few I watched).. but I got the talk part and the voting part. They were asking the viewer judges who were watching the show to vote: “Who do you think will win: red or white?” The result was out after 5 minutes: white team got TWICE more than red (12k vs 6k). ^^;

The show was immediately followed by Kouhaku A to Z that as I expected, didn’t air in NHK World Premium. Hi-res video for this is up (and will be gone soon), so leech here instead. Nana’s part only lasted about 1 minute.
Nana was in charge of letter “I”. Obviously, “I” stands for….
Nobody fits the role better than her, since she’s the official Kouhaku Digital Ouentai.

The best part of this segment is the Countdown slideshow, where we can see hi-res pics from day 1 to day 60 (just one of the two, tho). Didn’t think I could finish screencapping and cropping 60 photos in 15 minutes (including drooling time in certain shots).
Example of how it turns out (click for 480×720), not exceptional but awsm enough.. tho I think the above 300×450 looks sharper, but who wants to resize one by one? ^^;

It’s rather disappointing that there’s nothing new on the Kouhaku Countdown blogparts.. though it marked the end of it. Just rotating the 120 pics we’ve seen before every 10 seconds. Not bad but I kinda expected an awesome finishing set with voice.
It has been a chore to me: the first thing I always check after midnight for SIXTY days. It will take time to get over it and move on. T__T

Obviously white team is going to win, Johnny’s fangirls cannot be underestimated. Sure they might not be as obessive as otawotas overall, but fangirls easily out number them.
Nana looks alot more confidant on TV now. Hopefully her Kohaku performance would be on par with her concerts. I really hope to see Mika-chan and Cherry Boys on it too…

Happen to catch “Introducing Kouhaku” on NHK showing parts from their rehearsal. I saw someone playing harp during Nana-chan’s scene but only the harp can be seen.
^ yes I just saw that Kouhaku Flash too. lol I have this tendency to only see Nana so didn’t notice the arpa. ^^; Well Mika was there for NHK Music Japan, so they might allow her (and Cherry Boys) to join Nana too this time!
@LilaChan: lol yes they make the majority of music fans.. but this is the first time a real seiyuu joins Kohaku and the promotion in otaku world is massive, tho there’s that Anison Kohaku thing and Minorin’s concert today.. But logically speaking there’s no way White will lose now that Arashi joins in .___.
