Live Diamond x Fever: Loot & Tokuten

The prologue of a series of posts reviewing the single best release this year: Nana Mizuki Live Diamond x Fever!

..that, if I ever figure out how to capture a BD screenshot (I think I’ll settle with the DVD). Or if I have enough self-control to remember that I’m supposed to do a review instead of drooling. :P

Nothing is better to start a review than showing off the actual stuff! I had fun arranging the funky special boxes, tho scanning is always painful for lazy people.

Bluray Special Box

Looking very exclusive. Love the idea of having the venue top-view printed on the CD. Two Seibu Dome and one Budoukan = pure gold!

DVD Special Box

Amazing package, though they could put more effort on the CD design instead of just red (Fever) and green (Diamond).

First-press bonus: Promotional Poster

This is what everyone gets, an up-scaled version of the cover with extra huge-ass writings. The paper quality is not bad, tho printing sucks as always. :-/ Most likely I’ll just keep both posters to smack mosquitos.

Tototototokuten~ ♪

Big thanks to someone who helped me to get these~ ♪
- From Toranoana: Shitajiki (pencil board) and Tapestry
- From Gamers: Bromide and Table Calendar
I also bought an extra BD from Tsutaya (with its epic poster calendar), but I will only get it after New Year. :(

Tapestry

*shitajiki to compare size.
Toranoana is famous for giving out weird creative stuff, and this is my first Nana tapestry. I will treasure it~! ( ;A; )

Shitajiki & Bromide

Simply stunning – words fail me. Both make the best scans too!
Can’t imagine anyone using the lovely red shitajiki as a writing surface lol. I’ll prob stick it somewhere as decoration.

Table Calendar~ ♥

Dunno if it’s Engrish or what, but by “table calendar”, they meant CD-sized papers. Above pics are the reversible cover. The rest of the calendars only have big “Live Diamond x Fever” writing behind it.

As usual, 1 pic for every 2 months.. Balanced slots for Fever and Diamond pics. The images aren’t new, those are official live photos that were on various reports, but I think the choices are well-thought.

Jan-Feb & Mar-Apr

- Red kimono (Diamond) is the obvious choice for January / New Year
- Beautiful dress (Fever) that marked Shin’ai first live for winter-spring.

May-Jun & Jul-Aug

- Nun (Fever) is always good for all occasion, really.
- Energetic blue summer-wear (Diamond) for the hot mid-year.

Sep-Oct & Nov-Dec

- Awesome Mio-cosplaying goth-loli rocker chick (Fever) for my birthday month! *runs*
- The bloated gown (Diamond) that looks like a wrongly-coloured Christmas tree belongs to December.

Aaaaanndd… ♥

Summing up the loot, and sneak peak for the next post: booklet scans!

  4. Feleste Feleste says:

just remembered that I haven’t watched the BD for disc 2 and 3 yet, lol

mine is just normal BD without tokuten, but I really loved the package *^^*

and, the booklet was really good too. I can imagine it as mini photobook of Nana *runs*

btw, Nana’s pic for Silent Bible is already in the site..OMG, she looked really beautiful in that white dress *dies*

  5. Jo Jo says:

Thanks for the pictures and the review! It truly looks awesome!

  6. Socratics101 Socratics101 says:

BD screencapping doesn’t work all that well. You can do it, but then you kind of realize that once you freeze the image it doesn’t look anywhere near as nice as it does in action. Camera pictures are totally superior. Just stick with those. (I did it with Live Fighter, I was thoroughly disappointed and came away with only 2 or 3 I thought would make good wallpapers)

In other news, I got my BD 3 days ago but still haven’t had a chance to watch it. Darn Christmas/family & friends things getting in the way!

how much money did you spend?!

  12. Re-Hikari Re-Hikari says:

I won’t be getting a look at my stuff until the 7th of Jan or something T_T But I ordered both BD and DVD from cdjapan, so its not like there’s any tokuten to drool at anyway >,< Hmm… Maybe I should try getting the poster calendar too some way or another~
.-= Re-Hikari’s last blog .. Mizuki Nana’s Juujika no Spread + Song Communication full versions!! Oh, and 6s of totally emotional PHANTOM MINDS =-.

  13. Etherlite Etherlite says:

@re-hikari: the poster calendar is apparently one of the best bonus, even my friend failed to get it in his town, so i need to ask my other friend to get it in tokyo. That explains why danie get the tsutaya bonus later next year

  14. danie~ danie~ says:

@Socratics101 I know I had to pretend sick so they leave me alone in my room. Ssssh.

@damon errr 2x 9,900 yen? ^^; Pics made them look luxurious but they’re actually just a DVD set and a BD set.

    @pure_awesome I’ve lost count.

  15. etherlite etherlite says:

    @danie: you mean 3×9900? :P you still got tsutaya’s :D
