Live Journey Station 5: Niigata (77th live!)

Journey..?
Took a morning bus to Niigata which was full of Nanatards. Should have been a nice 4-hours bus ride but there was some problem with the first bus that we had to wait for a new one then transfer twice in service area… oh well still slept pretty well. ^^;

Not much to see in Niigata, I went there last year and didn’t do much besides eating ramen. Spent a few hours charging my phone in coffee shop while waiting for friends, had lunch and go.

Curry Journey

Niigata is famous for its rice, and my lunch proved it. The rice tasted REALLY good while the pork cutlet was rather hard to chew.. lol for the first time in my life, rice >>> pork.

Live

Niigata Kenmin Kaikan. 10 mins by taxi but woah only 1,100 yen that’s darn cheap compared to Tokyo. Shared with 3 friends it’s a much better deal than bus lol.

-Now this is a good surprise.. first in Journey ASTROGATION!!!!! Now this was unexpected change.. of course I went totally crazy for it.

-The rest are from the shuffle. With KoiYoku coming back, it means only 3 dance songs variation? My Inside of mind or Faith where… ;___;

Team Yoda. I’ve noticed it since Station 2. Martin (drummer) did MC to introduce the dancers, but for some reasons he likes Yumeko way too much (Yumeko-oshi? lol). For other girls it’s he didn’t say anything while they’re dancing individually, but when it’s Yumeko’s turn.. “Kawaii ne~! Kimi wa kawaii ne~!” …wut. ^^;

MC1. Greetings and title call.
-Nana stayed the night in Ishikawa, then 4-hours bus to Niigata with Team Mizuki.. it was really fun like a school’s field trip. They stopped in service area (I think it’s a law that bus driver needs to rest every 2 hours or so), and all Cherry Boys ate the famous “Shinkirou“, light-blue-colored ice cream made of Sea of Japan’s water + natural salt.. while Nana had rice ice cream lol. I think I saw them too, but Japan has lots of weird ice cream flavors so didn’t know which is limited to certain areas or sth.

-Upon arriving in Niigata, Nana tried sasa-dango and Yasuda yogurt, recommended by Itaruvic since Niigata is his hometown.

-Mawatte here. Nana asked us again if it’s okay for someone “her age” to do this cutesy act, which was responded by loud cheers. “Okay, I’ll turn around until my limit!” xD still a long time until that lol.

-Special announcement! This Niigata live was Nana’s historic 77th solo live!!! Nana explained that from the first live in Yamaha Hall, Live Formula’s final in Saitama (as seen in DVD) was the 50th live DAY (but 51st live count). She did 2 lives in 1 day for Astro Hall in 2001, which makes this Niigata live her 77th! Banzai! Banzai! Banzai!

……which is actually wrong. ^^;;;;; I’m sure Nana didn’t count it herself, but counting Yamaha Hall (before King’s debut) + 2x Astro Hall would make Niigata the 78th. Just to make sure, let’s count together.

The best explanation is the staff did NOT count Yamaha Hall, since it’s before King Records’ debut.. but Nana didn’t know and assumed Yamaha Hall is counted as the first live. Oh well, Nana celebrated it in Niigata, so Niigata IS the 77th live no matter what (and I went to Ishikawa too so it doesn’t matter *runs*). It makes sense now why Sendai gets 2 days, the 2nd day was originally planned to be her 77th live.

Nana thanked us for the support that gets her to this day.. and wanting our support from now on to her 100th, 200th, maybe 777th live one day!!! Yeah although I become obaa-san I’ll still wave those lights with all my might! xD ｷﾓ―

MC before Albireo. Re-introduced Itaruvic’s “Mandolin”, then asked if he knows which country it came from and Itaruvic answered something like US.. lol typical Japanese answer. I’m sure it’s from somewhere in Europe.. ^^;; Itaruvic offered Nana to try it, but Nana looked kinda afraid she’ll break it and just picked a string. ^^;;;

Also introduced Ryutan’s “silent bass” (no idea what it is lol).

MC3.
-Announcement (more like promotion now) for her newest single, Blood-C ED “Junketsu Paradox”! After explaining the title, Nana said “Someone like me…. wait who shouted ‘ero-shishou’ just now???!” …but then everyone started the ero-shishou call LOL then Nana sulked, “Stop teasing me! But actually I think the ero-sen is getting longer lately…….” xDDD

-Blood-C’s afureko is done until episode 3. Her role Saya is usually a quiet cool girl, but when holding a sword, her personality totally changed. Someone shouts it sounds like her, then Nana said, “That makes sense, I also change when holding mike!” *laughs* So looking forward to watch it!

Encore. Nana wore T-shirt A. First time everyone wore the same shirt.

You prolly read it on her blog, but yes, Nana really fell off the stage (!!!!!) while throwing the 3rd souvenir.. I almost got a heart attack the second Nana “disappeared” from my view (as you can see the stage is fairly high). A staff helped her up, and Nana said with a little laugh that she was surprised, but landed beautifully without injury. She didn’t drag her foot or anything, but this is Nana we’re talking about. She won’t let us worry no matter what.. I hope she’s really okay. (ノд・。)

She could be too tired from live + bus ride + live again.. hope she gets enough rest before Shizuoka.

Power Gate route.

There are 3 VIP rows before row 1 so my 15th row was actually the 18th… oh well. Unlike Ishikawa it had 2F which made 1F not that well-elevated so I couldn’t really see her walking.. I also had a hard time seeing her when she’s on the right side of the stage. ;__;

Seems she bought this palm-sized plushie in service area, since Niigata Station didn’t have it. She said it kinda looks like Nanette-san.. true. ^^;

Food.

Nana talked in MC and blogged about Yasuda yogurt and Sasa-dango (right pic). I bought the souvenir version of sasa-dango so it’s the same thing just in a proper box lol. Tastes darn sweet.
