Nana Mizuki LIVE ACADEMY 2010: Lesson 2 @ Niihama

Okay first of all I’m eating my own words last week. Fukuoka was the best Nana live ever, but hometown Niihama is 700% better. Why?

Oohkay trying to calm down and write a decent report!

Let’s start with Niihama City Culture Center front building! No people since this was about 9 am? The queue was on the other side.

Its Big Hall’s layout was very similar to Fukuoka Convention Hall. My seat was similar to the Fukuoka’s one too, but on the right stairs.

And like Fukuoka, the show started 20 mins late. The good thing is the hall was much cooler than Fukuoka.

Refer to Lesson 1 report for detailed costumes. I’ll try not to repeat similar stuff and focus on MC.

Snapped a pic of the stage from where I sat. Awsm view rite? ;A; The white curtain was used to project the OPENING MOVIE.

* Costume 1 – Schoolgirl with jacket.

1. SUPER GENERATION – I felt the difference in fans power compared to Fukuoka, since all 1,156 people there were the hardcore ones..

2. You have a dream – DON’T WORRY, you have dream!!

* Costume 2 – Schoolgirl, no jacket.

3. DISCOTHEQUE – Definitely crazier churu-churu.

MC – Started really hilarious.

Nana: “Tadaima!” (I’m home!)
Fans: “OKAERINASAI!!!” (Welcome home!!!)
Nana: “Any of you coming to Niihama for the first time?”
Fans: “YEAAAAAHH!!”
The only real Niihama people might be just her and invited guests in the VIP room.

Nana said that Holy Mary Kondou-mama is watching from the VIP room above. Not enough lights to see anything but a silhouette from where I sat.. but a friend told me she looked early 50s with no white hair. I believe Kondou-mama should be at least late 50s, she just ages fairly well like most Asian women.

Nana was really touched when she first arrived in Niihama station and saw the board sign (made by the city tourism center) about her live. It’s up on her blog. There were many signs leading to the hall, but let me save those pics for a Niihama post. xD

Nana also informs us that she got chosen to become Niihama’s tourism ambassador. Most of us already knew from NANA PARTY, but well.. BANZAI, BANZAI, BANZAI~!!

She mentioned a Smilegang epi when Misato asked if she needs a passport to enter Niihama. ^^;;; Nana went into defensive mode, saying 「村じゃない。市だよ、新居浜市！」 (“It’s not a village! It’s a city, Niihama city!”) lmfao poor thing.

4. Mr. Bunny! – I just realized what made me went crazy last week: the hips swaying. ;A;

5. アオイイロ (Aoi Iro) – Aw replaced Freestyle, but more appropiate for the Academy!

6. COSMIC LOVE

CHERRY BOYS – Same thing, same members, unless this time I got the song they sang: it’s called “Dear My Princess“, a song they wrote for the live. It sounds like a verse from Arashi’s Love So Sweet.

* Costume 3 – Gothic rock dark purple gown.

7. UNCHAIN∞WORLD – I now regard this song in Orchestral Fantasia level.

9. 夢幻 (Mugen)

MC – Unlike Fukuoka where Nana refused to turn around in the gothic rock gown, Niihama got a special service! Well, Cherry Boys members gotta turn around first, but first mawatte!

* Costume 4 – Gothic rock white top + dark purple skirt.

MC -cont’d- Kouhaku talk, similar stuff about Sachiko-(onee)sama. Someone caught Nana’s attention by waving the red/white voting board, meaning the guy watched Kouhaku live.

10. 深愛 (Shin’ai) – Still splendid.

11. PHANTOM MINDS

TEAM YODA – White nurses! Same members/dance. The cheers were much louder though, I guess only the crazies are familiar with the dancers ^^; The song sounds awfully like the Hey Mickey! song, though it was entirely different after Nana joined in the dance.

* Costume 5 – PINK NURSE NANA still killed me.

12. Dear Dream – very good, but still distracted.

MC - MAWATTEEEE~~!! ♪ Then another chara-song lottery box.

13. DESIRE -情熱- from Rosario & Vampire Capu2 chara CD. Nana said it feels weird to sing “DESIRE” in a nurse costume lolol burning looove~ ♪ The 80s cover song was okay, but the best part came after: she said “arigatou” in a deep ura-Moka’s voice. *dies again*

MC - Towel song practice with Hisayo-sensei.

14. JUMP! – Nana won’t change the towel song in this tour I guess, since Hisayo follows the tour just to teach this lol.

15. POWER GATE – powerful as usual.

Strings solo by Mamimami, followed by Fire’s sax.

* Costume 6 – Yellow Canaria gown.

16. 天空のカナリア (Tenkuu no Canaria)

MC - Introduced Mamimami again, though many people already shouted the nickname.

Talked about the Nanoha PSP game, another hilarious MC.
Nana: “Who are you guys playing as??”
Fans #1: “HAYATEE!!”
Fans #2: “NANOHA~!”
Nana: “….”
*fans trying to hide their laughs*
Nana: “..if you have time, please play as Fate.. (T_T)”
Fans: “YEAAAAH!”

Oohkay if I find this game in my remaining days in Japan, I’ll buy it. Damn.

18. ETERNAL BLAZE – can never grow tired of this.

19. Tears’ Night – a better choice than Fukuoka’s Pray because we have Mamimami~!

* Costume 7 – yellow dance costume.

20. Inside of mind – not much otagei, because most Nanatards were… doing the dance instead. We’re a few levels more retarded, I know. I’m guilty too. xD

21. Gimmick Game – this time she said “this is the last song!!” during Gimige’s intro.

* ENCORE

* Costume 8 – schoolgirl with necktie.

22. Song Communication – okay I’m going to show off how blessed I am by Nanaism deity.

I got the Fukuoka encore route map wrong, she came from the right exit, then down to the left stairs. I was on the left side so couldn’t care less see whatever happened on the right. Fixed the pic.

In Niihama, it was the other way around. She went in from the left exit, then down to the RIGHT stairs, where my seat was. Damn I might win millions if I use this luck in betting.

Niihama’s special service was unbelivable, Nana high-fived the fans’ hands along the way… I don’t think this ever happened before in any previous (recorded) Nana lives. Festa 2007′s POWER GATE and last week’s encore were very close, but no skinship. WHATEVER I GOT A HIGH FIVE TOO!@!#!@#! ( ;A; ). Yes I shed some happy tears. Never been this grateful being alive.

23. STORIES - still trying to sink the reality in.

MC - Shassu shouts~! and announcement!!
Live Academy Lesson 2 in Niihama gets into Bluray and DVD~!!!! BANZAI, BANZAI, BANZAI~! It was a really pleasant surprise, after the whole Diamond thing, she went back to earth and have the smallest tour leg for the next release.

24. TRANSMIGRATION - a bit surprised this wasn’t changed, but yay!

* ENDING – Zettai ni kakatte koi~~!!

Super Generation instrumental track plays. In Fukuoka, fans cheered and she sang one verse.. but Niihama was one step ahead: we sang Supagen together before she did. It brought tears to Nana’s eyes, and she sang a full chorus.

Comes the 7 signed balls~ Nana said she already practiced lacrosse, so she confidently threw the first ball. It went up high.. and fell into row 3. lmfao. But she did practice, since the remaining balls went into row 10-15. I missed my chance by 1 row, but oh well too happy to care.

* ENDING #2 – As expected, Niihama got a REALLY special treatment. Nana went back in wearing a sash saying “Niihama Tourism Ambassador” and a certificate plaque.

Nana showed her brand-new name card related to the ambassador biz, which initiated “I WANTTT” shouts… and Nana cunningly told us to ask the city mayor for those, pointing that he’s in VIP room.

We ended up chanting “SHICHOU! SHICHOU!” (mayor) for a minute or so. Too bad we can’t really see the mayor’s reaction, he was probably WTF-ing up there. ^^;

After the crowd calmed down, Nana mentioned her very first job when she was a 1st-year middle-schooler, a casette with an enka song called Tsugazakura. She was surprised that most fans know this song (duh). Some guys shouted that they have the casette. I also regard this as the ultimate Nana item, tho I still can’t afford it.. yet. xD

But the hall rocked when Nana said she wants to sing that, here.

25. Niihama Special Song – Itaruvic was called in for an ACOUSTIC VERSION OF TSUGAZAKURA. That. Was. Unbelievable. She only sang a shortened version, but what can I say: it’s Nana, singing enka, acoustically, and her first own song ever. Her voice had matured a lot since, well, 17 years ago. I believe some fans naturally cried.

The concert really ended with another kakatte koi shout~!

BEST CONCERT EVER.

After the concert, lots of people still lingering around. Somehow I joined a conversation with a group of Japanese fans, who were very amazed  that there were some foreign nutcase who managed to get there. I met a Singaporean fanboy, a HK fangirl, and a Taiwanese fangirl. Crazy fangirls outnumber fanboys woohoo. ^^; Which is kinda awsm since there might be just about 50 girls out of 1,156 people.

Anyway, gonna get some rest now. I dunno when I can get my normal face back, been grinning for the past 6 hours. At least I don’t sniff my left hand anymore. *runs*
