NANA MIZUKI LIVE ACADEMY 2010
I’m seriously fucked.
Okay so when I saw the live announcement in 2channel few hours ago, I thought it was a big hoax made by some random NanoFate freak who wants Nana to celebrate Valentine’s day in Yukarin’s hometown. Especially since NANA PARTY website hasn’t uploaded anything yet.
Then Smile Gang episode 392 was finally up and confirmed the sad truth.

Listing the “big news” with dates, venues, and maximum capacity.

#7 Mar 27 (Sat) Nihon Gaishi Hall @ Nagoya, Aichi (10,000 seats)
The Bad
I really want to strangle whoever decided the dates. Ok I have personal reasons why the dates are really killing me, but let’s check out the logical side.
Who the heck can go off in these dates? Especially someone who’s working in university like me, I can’t even fake a “my grandfather passed away” or “my sister got married” storyline. I see it’s not a good time for students too. Ok maybe it doesn’t apply to NEETs, but whuuut.
Also, DATES R TOO F$%@KING RANDOM like WTF Feb 20 – Mar 7 gap?! Then the supposedly climax parts, 2 days @ Yokohama Arena are in #4 and #5?! Final tour in Nagoya?! Haaarrrrr?!
I actually blame Yukarin for taking Nana’s usual concert time (late Dec to mid Jan). King Records won’t have their lives too close, so here we go, random dates orz.
The Good
Actually I can right-away plan 2 decent trip schedules. Listing out the + and – of going both sides too.
Set 1 for maximum concert enjoyment: Mar 13, Mar 14, Mar 20
+ Three lives in one trip!
+ Very convenient for tourists: land in Tokyo, do weeaboo shit in Akiba, shop in Shibuya, stalk Nana-chan.. passing Kyoto / Nara to Osaka, eat okonomiyaki.. go see Tokyo Tower, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Disneyland/Universal Studios, etc.
+ Big venues. Experience the awsm crowd.
+ Big venues. Easy to find, close to train stations, many (English) help.
+ Front rows may be a bit pricey, but it’s possible to get OK tickets with decent price.
+ See yourself (or your penlights) in the DVD/BD.
+ Lots of decent hotels/inns with online booking in English.
- ..actually nothing, if you’re free in these dates.
Conclusion: Awsm value for money, srsly.
Set 2 for the insane obsessed freaks: Feb 14, Feb 20
+ Visiting Nana’s hometown Niihama.. *stalker mode on*
+ Spending Valentine’s Day with Nana! ♥ I’m usually not buying V-day crap, b-b-but..
+ Small venues. Feels more personal.
+ Small venues. Better view for the vision-impaired like me.
- TINY venues + countless lunatics = auction price x infinity. Like SRSLY.
- Quite backwater. Need to travel like shit for no “real” tourist attractions.
- …finding the venue locations will be a pain in the ass.
- Might have to sleep in crappy places, IF you manage to find it..
- Chinese New Year falls on the 14th. I have no problem but some probably are.
Conclusion: What value? Do this only if you’re masochist or mental.
The Ugly: I can only afford either one. Based on the dates (and my Nana-o-meter), set 2 is my priority. Unless I turn sane and choose set 1.
And oh, on the live title LIVE ACADEMY.. Well, I’m used to weird Nana-convention naming so it’s okay. In fact I’m hoping to GETSOME megane moe, zettai ryouiki, twintails, schoolgirl uniform..? or MAYBE all?
Uh, depressed on my birthday. Awsm.

lol happy birthday.
i wish i would feel your pain but lol, you deserve this dilemma. that said this is all very interesting and i am looking forward to your stalker trip XD
It’d be nice if the dates were true, I could fit in Osaka/Nagoya with Maaya’s birthday live & hanami
megane moe, zettai ryouiki, twintails, schoolgirl uniform..?
that’s like AWESOME!!!
March 13 is my birthday. Clearly Nana had me in mind when picking the dates
TO FUKUOKA WE GO, SENSEI.
DESPERATE FOR MONEY >.<”"”"”"
I guess I am so glad that I am Malaysian……
REASON: You can do anything here as long you never get caught…..XD
Set2 not suitable for me, i might have class by that time.
Set1 might be my choise, but i don’t think i have the will and budget to go osaka = =”"”"
After all, YOKOHAMA ARENA is the last stage that I must CONQUER!
I can’t let it go this time, I am going….not very sure though…..XD
I guess i will just join the lucky draw first, and see how’s the seat…
Hope to see you around by then~
ffffff***ccckk…. this totally screws my schedule and self time-off =/
Feb-Mar???? :O how could nana miss my b’day… ;_;
damn, this is bad, i need to find out my uni’s schedule (i can’t fix my own schedule, doh)
i can’t go for more than 5 days, i might even need to take a “weekend” like your anisama 09, and i can’t stray too far from Tokyo, so the choice falls to mar 13 & 14 :/
Random dates and near CNY? I guess Feb is definitely a No for me >_>
btw Happy Bday
Wooohooo Osaka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The date and south north south north jumping in the schedule looks crazy to me. Expect crazily free university students (including me? XD) on Spring break around that time. SO going to make up for the fact that I probably will be spending CNY away from home again =P
so how much should I have to spend (without counting the plane ticket) for set one? at least attending one live gig…
No I’m not going to make it, it’s impossible, but it would be nice to have some kind of insight regarding this topic so I could make some plans eventually.
Did I tell you I really appreciate this blog’s info ? Well, I do.
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
@omo: ….that’s encouraging. But yeah I’ll keep my life drama interesting.
@j1m0ne: Well you heard the girl in Smagan, so this bad news is true.
@moyism: You bet, lol, I’m about as screwed (if not more) as you are. xD
@Etherlite: Yeah the weekend plan is good actually, you can spend more on front seats and live goods.
@issa-sa: At least you don’t have to swim up from the down under. D:
@Sebastian: That’s a good idea. I’ve been thinking to post something about that, cos some people think I shit money or have sugarmommas funding my trips.. cos really if you live in a developed country and/or have a decent job, it’s totally affordable. Will do later after work.
already started to plan my hectic weekend next year, a little bit of breath because it occurs right between 2 modules, therefore i could go for 3 days (1 day for hunting, 2 days for live). And yes, i’m planning to spend some more money for OK seats (hopefully front seats with rather affordable price)
But i still can’t find cheap hostel near yokohama arena, it’s all expensive hotels there, maybe will find some in sakuragi-cho
so much for starting to work and saving up… *sigh* those are definitely impossible dates for me >_> I do wonder though… Does this mean we won’t be getting a summer live? Or will it be a really late summer live? ‘Cause it’d be kinda weird to have another live only 3-4 months later =/ Or I think it would… I dunno >,<
Oh, and Happy Belated Birthday~
I’d really wish for a late summer live, if not, i won’t have enough money to go >_>
