Wow… I feel the exact same way. I preordered Ultimate Diamond ever since I saw you blog about it and been counting down to its release. And finally, its just a little bit over 3 weeks left and now I have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks because this guy can’t lay off the coke? BLEH!

NO NO…. ! they cant remove DISCOTHEQUE ! ! ! dammm no way ! !

It will be a disaster to lose DISCOTHEQUE T.T…

Besides Live FEVER, I’m also worried about the DISCOTHEQUE PV for a future “Nana Clips” >.<

Damn it, I was having a friend buying the CD in Japan - now it won’t be out before he’s back. -_-;;

Am I the only one concerned this delay is about cutting DISCOTHEQUE from the Shinjuku Koma DVD?

seigura also changed the cover of the June issue because of the delay…

The only thing I wished is that they don’t cut out DISCOTHEQUE in koma & LIVE FEVER….

Just remembered that Sonoda also wrote COSMIC LOVE, and Wikipedia (but not cdJapan) is now listing Ultimate Diamond without it, 14 tracks in all. So maybe THAT’s the reason for the delay. If they’re really cutting COSMIC LOVE, I hope we’ll at least get another track to replace it. Soradokei would be the obvious choice, being from Starcamp EP and everything, but I’m hoping for Trinity Cross or Pride of Glory.

I hope they won’t do anything drastic… maybe just remove that guy’s name @@

Will they really go as far as removing the songs? I mean, didn’t he only write the lyrics? To remove a song from a CD just cuz the lyricist took a few drugs seems kinda… unreasonable. =_=

Taking drugs doesn’t make DISCOTHEQUE any worse, if this isn’t in the special DVD, why would I want the album from the start? I want my DISCOTHEQUE live, I don’t care if the person wrote the lyrics took drugs…makes no difference to my addiction to the song (no pun intended).

Delaying the album…I’m quite okay with that. But not being able to hear those song live…would be VERY …undescibeable depressing.

It’s official: I can’t understand Japanese ppl in charge of the music business (and entertainmente in gral). Why should ANYONE care if the guy who wrote some lyrics is arrested for doing drugs? How many people would actually read the booklet and say “hey, this lyricist is the drug-addict one”…is Japan THAT fucked up and hypocrite ? What’s next? Removing the opening of Rosario Vampire from the dvds? (not that I care, I’m just asking)

Oh well, I really like Discotheque, I hope I see it live and they don’t remove it, although if they delayed the album for two weeks I don’t have much faith in them keeping the song anywhere. If that’s the case, at least it would be nice if they replace with a new song, not stuff like Blaze of Glory or some b-side which in my opinion is worse than the aforementioned song. On another note, I don’t care too much about Cosmic Love.

Cosmic Love is only fun with the trippy PV, but I’m a fag who loves stuff done in stop motion. :>

But Japan/Asia is crazy. Remember that Ueda Kana erasing oyaji incident and then rofl that Koda Kumi thing. Something about 35 and going rotten…. Oh geez, not like I care about Koda. My poor Marunage. ;__;

@Sebastian: Thats proabbaly exactly why King Records is removing his name from the album, its not just the Japanese, its people in general are hypocrites. Look at North Americans, they pick up on the littlest things and makes a big deal out of it. If you use Youtube or are aware of North American etertainment news, you might have heard the whole thing with the Miss USA 2009. I believe it was Miss California that was asked to express her opinion on same sex marriage and it became a “controversy” just because the so called ‘judge’ didn’t like her answer. So King Records is just making sure they as a company and Nana don’t get mixed with all this drug business. Cause you know someone WILL read every word on that booklet and make a big deal out of it saying how King Records and Nana supports drugs because they support a person that uses drugs

I read it now a bit late, so the reply is a bit late, too. But I think, though I enjoy your blog very much, in this case you are really a bit unfair. I think the mistake is about these ppl at King Records to make such a fuzz. The songwriter got problems enough now, but to delete a song from the disc seems to me ridiculous. What shall we do with Nirvana, Sex Pistols & The Beatles? And what comes next? Shall we stop trading X Japan, cause hide was drinking? And a man who wrote lyrics for Nana can’t be only bad, so imo you went too far with your article this time.

@danie you make it really bloody simple. It is a difference in human rights, not in culture. You can’t make such a fuzz about a 14 days delay while a man is struggling for his life. I love your blog still and i am a small light against your Nana-magnificence and we all love Nana, don’t we? I just have the feeling, that you are wrong in this case. Pardon. Frank

Anyway, let us finish this discussion at this point if you and me want to. I think with 18 months he got more than he deserved and i don’t want to kill anyone cause of the reason he took some drugs, you know?

I hope next time we’ll talk again about something better.
