Notes on Mizuki Nana’s Shin Ai Update

From official site with some trivial notes that people won’t usually care.
First, seriously, what’s with the titles?
01. 深愛 (Shin Ai)
Lyrics: Mizuki Nana
Composition: Agematsu Noriyuki (Elements Garden)
Arrangement: Fujima Hitoshi (Elements Garden)
TV anime WHITE ALBUM OP Theme / Ongaku Senshi MUSIC FIGHTER POWER PLAY
Notes.
- Love the song and have told you why. It’s a done deal for me. Well, anything Nana sells is a done deal. Just need to wait for the PV.
- Another Music Fighter tie-in, another (HD quality) live performance please.
02. PRIDE OF GLORY
Lyrics: Hibiki
Composition & arrangement: Watabe Miki
RADIO DE CULTURE January ED theme
Notes.
- I kept thinking of a song that will be used in a war or army training or maybe gay parade or something..
- Never knew about the tie-in before, though it looks quite popular, as its long-ass Wikipedia entry proved it. I couldn’t be bothered to read it all but AFAIK it’s another weird variety TV show with a radio-wannabe tendency, airing on Nihon TV every weekday morning. Since it’s quite long (90 min) let’s hope Nana will guest star soon?
- Hibiki is not new to Nana, having written good lyrics for Crystal Letter, Pray, Orchestral Fantasia, and more.
- Watabe Miki is quite surprising, known for writing songs for mainstream idols like Koda Kumi or AAA. I don’t know it’s a good thing or not.. since the only Watabe songs I know are Tomacchan’s Shiawase Sagashi (motto☆hade ni ne!) and Minorin’s NAKED HEART (Heroine), both weren’t too memorable.
03. 午前0時のBaby Doll (Gozen Rei-Ji no Baby Doll)
Lyrics: SAYURI
Composition: Sugita Youhei
Arrangement: nishi-ken
GOLD RUSH ~Mizuki Nana no M no Sekai~ ED song
Notes.
- Singing a theme song for her own radio show with a title that sounds as bizarre as whatever a Baby Doll is trying to do at 0 a.m. .. Why does it sounds like something Yukarin would do?
- .. and the 0 am thing is even more ridiculous since GOLD RUSH airs at 9.30 pm?
- SAYURI wrote Nostalgia and Soradokei, which were pretty good.
- Another unknown composer. Who the heck is this Sugita Youhei? I hope I romanized his name (杉田陽平) correctly, since he’s definitely not this contemporary painter. I found one song he (or maybe someone with a same name) wrote for idol/dancer Tamaki Nami.. whom (ssshh don’t tell her fans) I think can’t sing to save her life.
On side notes, some people uploaded Live Fighter in Youtube (albeit in the wrong aspect ratio). Somehow I managed to only watch two of them. But I’ve seen enough to know the bluray will give me some real nosebleed.

“Somehow I managed to only watch two of them. But I’ve seen enough to know the bluray will give me some real nosebleed.” Lol! I seriously laughed so hard on that one… Some nice inofr gathering you’ve got there.
I’ve also seen some people uploading Live Fighter on Youtube.. I am getting really impatient waiting for mine to come… those videos on Youtube are really tempting me… Live Fighter come faster!
So Shin Ai will be used in white album and music fighter?
reggies last blog post.. Polling
Actually, getting Watabe on board is seriously cool – he composed a good chunk of Koda Kumi’s best stuff including her signature song Butterfly, but goodness knows what he’ll come up with for Nana. It’ll definitely be a very mainstream Jpop song though.
And no, the artist and writer Sugita Yohei aren’t the same person heh. This Sugita works under Rock Field, a management company that handles a bunch of songwriters and producers who write for Sony artists. TLAST, Fujisue Miki, Wakabayashi Mitsuru, Joh Kazuma, Nishimura Chisato and Mizoshita Hajime are all signed to the same company and they’ve all written a song or two for Nana in the past, so I don’t think it’ll turn out too bad… hopefully.
I’m beginning to sound like a stupid Jpop trivia machine
j1m0nes last blog post.. Kadokawa to publish Asano Masumi’s first novel
@ SpearOfDawn & Makino: Yeah but mine will come at least Monday. LAZY is the way to describe Australian post office.
@ reggie: Yes.
@j1m0ne: LOL the painter was obviously a joke. ^^; But I seriously didn’t know the whole Rock Field history. Thanks for knowing more than wikipedia
but I’m not too sure he wrote one for Nana, since I couldn’t find his name in older Nana songs.
And yeah, maybe getting Watabe is a good sign (acknowledged more in mainstream area whatever) tho I don’t follow his works except the two I mentioned, but Nana sort of has her own ‘color’ now, compared to her earlier oh-so-pop songs, so if he can at least bring it out, it’s cool.
From the videos on Youtube, I got to say that the cameramen did a crappy job in Live Fighter, compared to Live Formula. They keep showing us the audience and the lights! When they DO show whats on the scene, it never last long before it goes back to the audience. So agitating. Perhaps it is just me, that can’t get enough of Nana?
By the way. Is it fine for Seiyuus to perform Character songs in their own concerts? Nana performed “Meikyuu Butterfly” in Live Fighter, a character song from Shugo Chara!..
quite a nice song : )
