Parade comes. Finally.

They actually came yesterday, but I didn’t know what to talk about since people had already made reviews and I won’t destroy my only photobook. ^^;

So I canceled the regular edition order in the last minutes, because I realized I have a chance to get one of the goodies if I buy the other copy in Japan next year. And I’m glad I’ve done so, Parade poster quality must be one of the shittest I’ve got and I’d like that Animate version. It’s like they stumbled upon a 4″ x 6″ bromide and decided to slap some promo words then resize it as is.. to become a mosquito swatter indeed. So I hope not getting the poster won’t be a justification for not buying the album.

On to the review..

The opening track Toumei Park Night was so weak and while Voyager train managed to pump me up again, both songs failed to repeat Contact/Shijin-no-Tabi goodness. Not so encouraging start huh.

Then listening to the next tracks made me wonder whether they are experimenting with Minorin’s ability to sing in different genre, or just plain confused. Prism in the name of love could make a good live track.. but Fairy tune and Lush March!! are too generic for my (weird) taste.

Sono Toki Boku wa Kamikazari o Kau is a pretty damn good ballad, but I don’t quite get the album flow, because it’s quickly followed by Melty tale storage. I like this song, although it’s full of Minorin weird chanting from start to end.

Aoi Kotou is the best song out of this album thanks to Fujita Junpei from Elements Garden, and because it pays off the lack of adrenaline rush I was expecting from a Minorin album. The song goes well with Hikari, which heavily reminded me of Paradise Lost coupling track..

..and speaking about it, the new mix Paradise Lost -at the next nest- is a huge mistake. I couldn’t recognize it the first few seconds.. why the heck would they screw such a good song, just to fit it in the album? I’m sure many Minorin fans buy both anyway. ):

FUTURE STAR is alright but not memorable.. and I still love Ameagari no Hana yo Sake as much as I was with the single. Then Hanataba sounded draggy, but everlasting.. ended the album pretty well.

So overall it’s a good buy. The photobook is pretty good too, though she only smiled in, er, less than five photos.. to the bunny. ^^;

Anyway here’s some scans from m.s.s. crap I bought the other day.. let her megawatt smile blinds our eyes. *_* ..while waiting for the new Pick-up voice.. its cover made my nose bleed a bit.
