Tamura Yukari LOVE♥LIVE Starry☆Candy☆Stripe in Yokohama 10/10

Something happened that made me unable to write this faster, but don’t get me wrong, the concert was AWESOME with all caps. My first full-blown Yukari-hime live!

The plan was: Faylan x ELISA event → 2-hours trip to Pacifico Yokohama → enjoy Oct 10 concert (no hope on goods) → loiter around Yokohama overnight → queue for Oct 11 goods → go home cuz I can’t afford another ticket lol.

Rather than live report, this is more like MC report. Because Yukari-hime is just that awesome.

Arrived about 5pm, goods booth was still open. Surprisingly L-sized limited shirt was still available. Blue shirt with yellow text and Yukarin’s drawing of an ugly creature on the back, no wonder they don’t want it. Everything else I wanted were sold out, even gachapons were gone, so I only got a penlight. Cheers paranda for Niigata T-shirt and wristband to survive the day.

Won ticket off auction rather cheap…but totally surprised to learn that “row 10″ was actually ROW ONE. First 9 rows used to extend stage. A bit too the right but still ZOMG! My first 1st-row in a real concert!

One thing I quickly noticed was the number of female fans… there were seriously a lot of them and 80% were dressing up like Yukarin, princess lolita with twintails.. I didn’t expect them to be this many, which was a good thing, though kind of scary ^^;;

As usual concerts never start on time. Lights went off and the big screen started a countdown Opening Video and I started to get blood rush.. xD

Costume [1~3] Small red lolita hat, red top with white frills, and blue skirt.
As I expected, album starter Heavenly Stars also started the live. Smooth start since it’s not too insane (by Yukarin standard); fans are already going crazy with Yukarin’s presence alone ^^; ….or so I thought before it continued to Chelsea Girl!! HAPPY HAPPY!! FUFUFUFU!! This early?? Immediately the hall’s temperature shot up!! And up next Oshiete A to Z was as cuuuute as ever~ Finally I can do *claps claps* *claps* for real.

MC1
-Yukarin reminisced that she performed in Pacifico Yokohama 3 years ago (Sweet Milky Way), then asked who attended that. Plenty shouted in response. When normal singers would thank them, Yukarin commented, “You people have higher attendance rate for lives than office or school…” which got even louder cheers lol, so Yukarin continued “You’re proud?? Now I’m worried about the future of Japan…” ROFL xD

-Introduced one of the new gachagoods, “Everyone, finally we have Yukari Water (ゆかり水)!! Can you see it?” Camera zooms to pet bottle with Yukarin’s photo, everyone oooooh-ing, “….Only normal water inside.”
But she explained that she’s been using the water since rehearsal time, so it’s actually Volvic (good quality) water inside.

-Suddenly remembered she’s been told that despite not being too big, Pacifico supplies TV for audience! She went to check them out (one in front of me actually), “Ah it’s there. What a totally normal TV… but does it stream news? Yukari wants to know about state affairs….” w

-Commented on front rows people who were spotted NOT drinking Yukari Water xD and also on people wearing blue shirts: “It’s limited T-shirt right? Looks really good! Yukari also wants~ Yukari wants the T-shirt with Yukarin’s own drawing~~” (LOL self-plug?? She must know it didn’t sell out ww)

Costume [4~6]: Took off blue skirt to frilly red bloomers.
Cute hula-hoop dance for Kamisama Rescue me!! took my attention away from the wtf Hawaiian beats. I only realized in Goody & Happy that I came to like the album songs I didn’t before… ^^; Oh finally Momonekodan appears!!! Kusunde Neco (pink Dirty Cat) and Kusundenai Neco (grey Not Dirty Cat)!!! ♪♪

Little Wish~first step~ up next so I’m back to ultra fangirl mode! Make a rittle wiiiiiiiiishhh~~ with the finger-pointing-up and YUUUUKARIN HEY! ppph shouts even after she went into the door behind the stairs for costume-change.

Narrated in English by Raising Heart, all Momoiro Danshaku (Pink Baron) band members, Momoiro Mates (Pink Mates) dancers, and Momonekodan were intro’ed.
-Momoiro Danshaku: Hatabou (drum), Nobupyon (key), Masanyan (bass), JACK (guitar), and GOD (sax). Didn’t bother remembering uncles’ full names.
-Momoiro Mates: KEI, YUKIE, AYUMI, MyHO (“MyHO”?? really?? xD) Very disappointed my fave Yukarin dancer wasn’t there.. Name escaped my mind atm but she was the hottie one teaching us how to do Melon no Theme otagei in Budokan live.

Costume [7~9]: simple light-blue dress, still haz frills.
Gets calmer with Shooting Star; was okay considering how I disliked Komorebi album lol. I couldn’t stand Suna Ochiru Mizu no Kyuuden‘s weird back noise (won’t even call it sound) before but with real instruments it didn’t sound so bad.

-Still talking about Pacifico which relates to APEC, an international event to be held soon. She was wondering what APEC stands for but nobody knew either (lol ignorant otaku). I failed big time cos I know what APEC is (Aussie hosted it just a couple of years ago): Asia-Pacific Economic…. somehow C escaped my mind so I didn’t dare answering. Convention? Conference? Concert? CANDY?!?! wuuut. (it’s actually Cooperation) orz.

-Yukarin tried her best to guess. She’s sure A stands for Asia… but what are the rest? Somehow she ended with Pay, Expensive, and Coin LOL so she concluded that APEC is “アジアに高いコインを払う” (Paying expensive coin in Asia) ROFL so in people from various countries are gathering 500 yen coins (largest coin denomination in Japan).
-”That’s nice, Yukari also wants to get APEC!!” ^^;;

-Mentioned strong-looking trucks parked around Yokohama for APEC.. “This morning some people saw Yukari entering the hall, which got Yukari worried! I mean, everyone were shouting ‘Yukariiiiiin!!!!’ .. what if APEC officers think that’s suspicious and arrest everyone…. ;__; but Yukari is glad now that everyone is OK!” www

-Finally Yukarin got a big revelation, “AH!! APEC is gachagacha right?? It only accepts 500yen coin..” LOL

Live continues with another cute song, Hadashi no Princess, which I also like from Oshiete single (I think it’s the stupid anime’s ED too) before running backstage. Band Performance filled the gap, not too bad.

Costume [10~12]: Red (still frilly) dress with long back-skirt and short in front.
As I’ve guessed from the costume, it’s time for cool Yukarin! And there’s no cooler Yukarin song than Tomorrow :3 but the real surprise was Sweet Darlin’, c/w from Little Wish. Apparently this is the few changeable songs between lives. Sweet indeed!

Then Love Sick, which I didn’t like even after repeated listens.. I mean, Yukarin + R&B + rap = wut? But somehow (I wonder why) it turned out well live! Yukarin also danced for real instead of the usual “let’s just pose cute and call it dancing”. There’s only one long rap verse in the song, so it should be easy but I didn’t hear anything. Maybe cuz it’s new, or nobody liked the CD version too lol.

Our princess is sleeping nicely on Kingdom bed. Kusunde Neco and Kusundenai Neco had the hardest task ever: waking Yukari-hime up! No response after yelling, tickling her feet, banging kitchen utensils… offering food almost worked, Yukari-hime took it and hugged it to sleep lulz. Attempted otagei too, quickly followed by all audience HEY!HEY!HEY! before Yukarin screamed us off “URUSAAAAAAI!!” (too cute omg). Both Neco were devastated and started blaming on each other. While they were fighting, Yukari-hime woke up by herself LOL they only realized it after a while, and dressed Yukari-hime up for a special day..

Costume [13-15]: pink (yep still frilly) dress with ribbons
When everyone was focused on the video, I noticed staff preparing chairs so I knew acoustic corner was coming. Nice to finally hear Yukarin’s voice without disruptions. Songs rotated between lives, but wooooah I can haz Jougen no Tsuki (Acoustic ver.)!!!  (variations are Namida no Loop, jelly fish). I personally think JouTsu is one of the best Izayoi track, so ’twas kinda touching. I’m not worthy.. (/ω＼)

-”Hmm, next topic will crush your dreams.. (fans eeeeeh-ing) ..ok then cancel.. (fans EEEEEH-ing even louder) ..OK, you know when you’re holding tears, your nose gets all runny.. some people produce a lot of snots.”

Of course we’re too stupid to think it’s disgusting or what, so people started doing the “that’s OK!!” and “kawaii~” calls.
-”What? Snots are cute? Are you sure? ..weeell, at least nobody shouted「Yukarin’s runny nose peropero」so it’s all good!”
Peropero = licking; the latest Yukarin joke mentioned in Nicolive. Citron no Ame photos have plenty of legs and she’s been receiving creepy tweets “Yukarin’s thighs peropero” but she was secretly proud of it.

-Ramen talk because “ramen” is the behind-the-scene theme! xD Mentioned Ramen Museum but she couldn’t go since it’s in Shin-Yokohama. She wonders if they have chashu-men. I can go but I can’t afford it.. w

Live continues. If Nana has towel songs, Yukarin has doll songs!! Waving FC-limited bunny dolls I don’t have yet. I’d love full version of Koiseyo but Sugar Tune was cute too.

Then out of nowhere, Meta Usa Hime ~Kurousagi Oukoku Mass~ intro!! FINALLY I GOT TO WORSHIP YUKARIN, like literally bowing! And that intense NYAN!NYAN!NYAN!~~!! total occult experience! xD This got rotated with Melon no Theme in other lives, but got that in Anisama 2008 so GO Himetal!! Hime!Hime!Hime! \(_ _)/

-Video dated October 7 when she visited the small Gamers Yokohama branch! I doubt she’ll pull this in Tokyo tho, way too dangerous lol.
-Of course without notice, so only lucky bastards who happened to go there got to see her.
-Special mentions to pink Lumica sticks sold there, “Lightsticks die within a few minutes, but Kingdom penlights use batteries so they last forever!!” lol smooth advertisement.
-Yukarin was Gamers’ temp staff, promoting her new album. I think all customers bought the CD regardless they already have it or not (how dare you not re-buy it when Yukarin herself sells it!!)
-Autographed poster/bromide/CD for buyers ;__;
-Yukarin awesomely “Hello I’m Tamura Yukari”-ing anyone who visited Citron no Ame booth. ^^;
-The last “customer”… Gamers shop manager!!! ROFL he got a standing ovation from us. GJ, Tencho!!

Costume [16-19]: White sailor outfit with red checkered skirt.
Yukarin jumped out to Koi no Time Machine; a personal fave that I’ve been dying to experience live! Some Yukarin songs are soooo obviously made for concerts and this is a perfect example. ^^;

-Yukarin asked 3F fans if they can move freely or is it scary/dangerous. Everyone shouted “WE’RE OK!!” tho it should be pretty scary lol. But we all know what this means: MELON TIME.
-Usually only band members become Meron guinea pigs, but she’s been calling out King Records staff in this tour too, “But this is Yokohama so maybe they’ll get angry if I call them up stage…”
-”…..anyway ISHIOKA-SAAAAAN?” (LOL)
-When waiting for the poor staff, we see Danshaku are discussing in secret. Yukarin saw that and approached them but they didn’t give in, so Yukarin protested, “Eee? This is Yukarin! The real thing!! Look similar right?” xD
-Staff still not coming yet, so Yukarin played around with piano, making totally random (bad) noises. Staff still nowhere to be found, “Yukari played such a great song.. still not coming…”
-Finally Ishioka-san (a very office-worker-looking girl) appeared. Yukarin said that Sawahata-san (another King staff) seems to be somewhere in 2F so Isshi will do Melon alone LOL. Isshi grabbed the mike, “Sawahata… come down here or I’ll hold grudge.” D=
-Sawahata-san had no choice but join up stage. First thing he said was, “Yukarin… yesterday you promised you won’t do this….” ;__;
-Yukarin replied with her mischievous smirk, “Why did you even take me seriously?” XD
-Finally MELON’ed band and staff. It’s a bit different this time that the first Melon only made everyone fell down. Reverse Melon (NROMEEEE~~~) is supposed to wake them up.. but it only worked to King staff! Danshaku are still lying down!! (I guess that’s what they were discussing about lol)
-Yukarin kept trying before giving up, “Noooo~ Yukari’s toys broke~~ T__T” but after a few NROME works, they came back! Loud applause lol FINALLY IT’S OUR TURN.
-Meloooooooooo~~~n. <333

FINALLY You & Me!! I’m glad I completely mastered the rap part. Everyone was awesome, couldn’t hear motsu’s streamed voice at all. Then without rest to everyone’s #1 song.. fancy baby doll SEKAI ICHI KAWAII YOOO!! She threw 5 dolls to audience, but only those in row 6~15 could possibly get it (and die squeezed by other fans).

Short intermezzo during fbd, Yukarin re-intro’ed band members. GOD had an awesome idea: playing K-pop famous song Mister which made Yukarin did the same revolving ass dance LOLOLOL for a good few minutes too!! The hall exploded with excitement until Yukarin protested, “A non-Yukari song got the most response!! Blasphemy!! >__<”

After the hall calmed down, finished fbd. Directly jumps to Love Love Baby Happy Star, another “made-for-concert” songs from Citron no Ame.

Costume [20-22]: Orange one-piece (under previous clothes)
With new outfit, candy smile, c/w that made Koiseyo CD worth buying.. though I’m shocked to learn this is rotated with Wakusei no Rendezvous in other lives. ;_; I like cansmi but GO HAPPY GO HAPPY ;_____; *cry buckets*

Gratitude was soooo much better live, especially ARIGATOU call… Here blue confetti tapes popped out to us, hitting everyone back to reality that this is going to end soon. But excitement rose for LOVE ME NOW! even after Yukarin announced this is the last song. I’m jealous of people who has FC pompoms, but at least I’m pulling off YAY! calls properly.

Restarted with one of my all-time fave Douwa Meikyuu! But the encore highlight was totally stolen by new song Super Special Smiling Shy Girl and its awesome synchrocalls. DAISUKI YUKARIN!! <33 WARATTE YUKARIN!! <33

-Momonekodan enters stage, Kusunde & Kusundenai Neko time!!
-Both neko tried to make fun and bully Yukarin, but somehow she stayed calm?!
-Yukari: “See, Yukari know a magic word to use if you act violent…「I’ll open your zipper」” www
-Instantly both neko begged Yukarin for forgiveness xD Yukarin pats them, “Don’t worry.. that was a lie. I won’t do that… just yet.” and they ran away in fear.
-Yukarin joked to front-seaters that we look totally drenched with sweat… “Are you OK? Everyone just fought hard in a battle?”

Yukarin announced the real last song, and asked us to listen properly. My wish My love was beautiful it moved me the way the CD couldn’t. Perfect atmosphere, I couldn’t ask for a better ending.

Ending
Yukarin waved goodbye to us. She tried to be as close as possible, walking through side speakers that actually looked dangerous, but I appreciate her effort. Being front row I got to see her smile up close… *saving to brain* I won’t forget it, Hime!! ;A; She also jumped around for 2F and 3F to actually see anything (they won’t lol). Lasted a while before Hime disappeared.. After the usual otsukare claps, Kingdom party really ended.

Impressions
-MCs are as good as the songs itself and I mean this, she’s a genius. Maybe I should start listening to Kurousagi radio…
-Learned that there’s no need for UO to be intensely pumped. In Anisama people used UO for Yukarin but Kingdom citizens chose to synchropink!
-Awesome setlist. Performed 11 out of 15 tracks of the new album, and everything sounded a LOT better live. Also credits to surprise c/ws.. and a heckload of fan faves! This is why I don’t see setlist before the live.
-Tokyo won’t surprise me as much (max. 3~4 song changes) but I’m looking forward to it.

P.S. Yukarin goods are awesome so they deserve a special post later.
