PS. I’m leaving tomorrow on a mission to see my wife goddess in her glorious 3-days Budokan live tour. Please say so if you’re jealous, mwahaha. Reports may have to wait until I go back, since it will be hard to go online at the hostel.
Gotta agree with Mamiko Noto. Though I think Nana looked a lot better with the Shinjuku Koma pink kimono (with her hair down of course).
And I’m majorly jealous cause I’m stuck here with finals >.<. Please buy twentyimeanone copy of Shin Ai as a present for Nana. I know my copy is somewhere in Tower Records storehouse (probably).
Haha, I will be going to see Nana for the 3-day concert at Budokan too!!!!
What time is it advisable to gather at the Budokan to buy ALL of Nana’s merchandise?

@ evangel55: I can’t guarantee what time, but I guess the earlier the better, heh. I’m taking the first train on Friday, arriving about 5am in Kudanshita Station (I hope Aussie winters have trained me well to survive this, lol). The booth will start selling goods at 10am, btw, but the last time I went on time, I couldn’t get all I wanted.
I vote Fujita.
But rly, nobody probably can top Mamiko Noto. Maybe Ai Nonaka?

Obviously the earlier the better, but as a general rule you should be no later than 2 hours before the opening of the concert if you want a chance of getting something. Limited goods will always sold out before noon.
Also it’s getting pretty cold in Japan now (less than 10 average) so bring something warm to wear like a thick coat which you can take off inside. just hope it won’t snow! (happened to us once)

Yup! Its pretty cold in Tokyo right now. Hope what I brought is enough!!
Also, I decided to take the first train(which is 5:01am JT) to Budokan and “camp” there for the merchandise!!! =)
I have a poster of Chiba Saeko wearing a kimono somewhere in my room… I’ll try to dig that out and scan it sometime within the next 12 months
Oh, and do enjoy your trip to JP! Make sure you grab all the merchandise you can (and blog about them here). Not jealous, since I’ll be making my 2 (planned) trips to Nippon in May and possibly August so I’m er… busy saving money for those.
Mamiko wins. XD Clearly biased here, but no one can deny she looks bloody awesome in a kimono. I think Kato Emiri’s quite cute as well (as long as she keeps her mouth closed). Actually, I don’t think Kobayashi Yu can look bad in anything… oh how envious I am of her physique.
And yes, I am jealous. If only I didn’t live like 20 hours away by plane… =_=

I have to protest here, cos I did swear I’d seen Nogawa Sakura & Koshimizu Ami in a Kimono on one of the January Issues of Seiyuu Grand Prix a year or two ago!
And that photo of Horie Yui & Tamura Yukari were like…. So many years ago~ Both of them had definitely aged since…. Gracefully though. February issue of Seiyuu Animedia 2007, check it out.
Jo> Unless you have a friend in Japan, you have to resort to either Yahoo! Auctions or scalpers at the concert. Be warned though that Yahoo! can get extremely pricey depending on the seat location. And I don’t know personally whether scalpers hang around Nana’s concerts but I once waltzed over to Budokan the day of another concert and was able to buy tickets from a scalper without knowing any Japanese.
@ Yuu in kimono: I know she’ll look good in anything, but it’s a waste, you know, unless the kimono is short..

@ Jo: Not sure about Tokyo Anime Fair, but most likely there will be anime panels, so you might be lucky if your favorite seiyuu is there. Check out the official site?
As kiseki gurl said, you need someone in Japan to buy and receive the tickets from the official dealer, or auction bid if you’re greedy enough. I wouldn’t bet on scalpers, since obviously the biggest cost for us is flight and accommodations.
@ PPP: Well I don’t have that edition then.. ^^;
@ issa-sa: Yeah, they’re selling extra tickets now.. maybe use up to the max capacity? Budokan is too small for the current Nana, but honestly I prefer smaller venues. Comparing Nana’s concerts from 2003 until now, she performs further and further from the fans. Budokan feels “closer”, with smaller arena, maybe she also realized that? Anyway I’d still be very happy if she eventually goes to Dome.
